“I'm honestly not sure why there are so many bad reviews here, so I am going to add a good one. I started an account about 25 years ago, and I have been banking with them since. I got into some debt because I had a low-paying job for a while and then was drowning in interest charges. Northrop let me transfer over my debt to a WAY lower interest rate credit card to help me out. Now, they let me have a loan to pay off that credit card, to make the rate even lower, and make SURE I paid it off in a few years, at which point I will be debt-free! Because of their loan, and because I never missed a credit card payment, my credit score is now 820. Once I'm debt-free in a couple years, I will be able to start investing my money and adding to my 401k more aggressively, and possibly even buy a house within the next 5 years. I'm so grateful for them! They may be a little slower to respond than some banks, but it's a credit union with one branch, c'mon. :)”

“I love the service that I am given by everyone at the Gardena branch. Starting with your security officer, tellers, MSR's and the branch manager. They are always courteous and attentive. There is one thing that bothers me. The branch always looks dirty. The floor always is dirty. It smells like old mop water. You need a better cleaning crew. Here are some pictures. LAFCU you can do better.”

I was a little disappointed about their San Bernardino branch closing, but that didn't steer me away from this awesome credit union. Their service is and always has been great.”
