Had an awesome experience at this Hertz today thanks to Nicholas. We arrived right at closing time yet he proceeded to assist us for the next 20+ minutes with a damage claim on a rental, and also helped us by adding an additional driver to our car rental. Was quick and easy, and we felt that Nicholas went above and beyond in assisting us, definitely had a great experience here!

Convenient location in Gilroy. Good service at the counter. However, double check that the mileage on your contract matches the real mileage on the car odometer.Too bad they're closed on Saturday.

I am beyond grateful for this Hertz location that they were open December 23, 2022. I arrived there around 4:45pm knowing that they would close at 5pm. Me and my friend were victims of "smash and grab" in SF specifically in Golden Gate Bridge. She was visiting from Chicago. We were supposed to drive around SF the whole day and drive to LA the next day. We had to park my car at my friend's house in Morgan Hill before we arrived in this Hertz location as this one was the closest. Nicolas was very helpful and despite of the little time that I had until 5pm, he reassured me that he'd help me even if it'd take more than 5pm to process the rental. Upon returning the car on December 27, I brought my "smashed" car to this location with the rental. My parents and cousin were with me. The weather was bad that day, gusty winds, and raining. Nicolas was there and he even offered some tape and trash bags to cover my smashed windows of my car. I am beyond grateful to Nicolas and to this Hertz location, all because this location saved me and my friend's trip to LA the next day. Thank you Nicolas. Thank you Hertz-Gilroy for an awesome assistance. I will never forget this rental transaction in my entire life.

Horrible experience. Made my reservation a week in advance, they called me a day before pickup and told me I had to rent for two more days because they weren’t open on Saturday. What car rental company isn’t open on Saturday?? Also they acted like it was a problem I had to solve, and less like a mistake on their part that would end up costing me an extra $200. Cancelled my reservation.

The local staff was excellent! They have to deal with Corporate issuing reservations for vehicles that are not available. There seems to be a disconnect between corporate (the 800 number) and the local offices. Corporate sees in the computer there are vehicles available, gives the customer a reservation, tells the customer to go pick up the car. When the customer arrives at the local office they are told there is no vehicle for them because corporate does not know the vehicles they are seeing as available are already promised to other customers...Its not the local staffs fault...something needs to be fixed...

People helping you sound like there helping, but it's all a act. When your car breaks down or if there is a issue with the vehicle, you cannot get ahold of anyone.. I mean anyone! It cost me to pay a whole day extra.. when I confronted the employees about it, all they said was I know the phone systems challenging....as if I didn't know how to use a phone..I do not recommend this hertz to anyone!! Especially if your taking a long trip.

Unbelievable!! Made a reservation when I arrived they told me sorry the car reserved for you needs oil change really! What a waste of time. Will never go back there. They should be more professional and think about people’s time

This location is great!! Good customer service from David, Paula and team!!. They helped me out even when I ran into a problem on my end. They satisfied my experience and I wouldn't mind bringing my business back here and referring family and friends. Keep up the great work you guys are the best in customer service!!!

I have rented cars all over the country for years, and without fail, there is always a glitch! NOT THIS TIME!!! The customer service here is awesome, and a special shout out to the manager, David, who is personable, caring and professional! The car itself was clean, comfortable and a smooth ride. This wonderful experience has made me a customer for life!!

ALL HERTZ CAR RENTAL BRANCHES ARE NOT ALIKE!!!!! After having a horrendous experience with another Hertz this past year, I very hesitantly dragged myself to this location behind Sonic never ever expecting what I was about to find. Paola was nice over the phone and gently yet confidently stated that all branches are different from one another and that she hoped that her branch would provide me a better experience than what I had experienced previously. Enter David the branch manager: - In short, I will never visit another Car Rental facility of ANY brand while David is around!!!!! David is KNOWLEDGEABLE, PERSONABLE, FRIENDLY, CONSIDERATE, & CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED!!!!! The day of pick up, he was able to oversee the other gentleman who was working with a different customer, calls that we coming in, a room full of people arriving and me, without allowing any of us to feel neglected. A work ethic which far surpasses the norm. Would strongly recommend and look forward to referring everyone who crosses my path.
