“Good clothes, organized and clean BUT I didn’t appreciate how loud managers were talking very badly about other employees who were not present. Speaks a lot about who’s running the store, organized store but gossip made me and others feel uncomfortable.”
“I had an incredible experience at Loved Twice Bridal! They were extremely accommodating and squeezed us in for a last minute day-of appointment. I was so lucky to have Desiree as my stylist - she is the ultimate fairy godmother!! She clearly has a wealth of industry experience, and she was patient and listened to what I liked/didn't like about each dress. She was a wizard at interpreting what I was saying to identify design elements that I was looking for (even when I didn't have the exact vocabulary to describe it initially!). She pulled dresses that we had saved from reviewing their selection online, but also thought outside the box in pulling dresses for me to try based on what I was saying during the appointment. She was mindful of my budget and I didn't feel pressured or rushed at all. I wasn't expecting to find my dress on this first try, and was shocked to find a dress that exceeded my own imagination - Desiree was instrumental to this! She was also super helpful in suggesting accessories (veil, jewelry, hair accessories) to pull the whole look together. I also love that Loved Twice is so sustainable - everyone there clearly cares about curating a beautiful collection that is sustainable but with no compromises on aesthetic or quality!”

“Ten out of five stars for Melynda and her all volunteer Quirk crew for creating the People's Free Boutique in an unused corner space in DTLA, providing much needed, intentional, and high quality clothing and supplies for those of us who lost everything in LA's January fires. My family and I came to Quirk and were welcomed with care and respect, mirroring the quality and thoughtfulness of the clothing offered, and being given the dignity of choice to dress ourselves in clothing that we prefer.
The Quirk crew were professional and kind, dealing with a gradually melting down child and frazzled adults, recognizing and validating the collective trauma of their guests, and providing a space of hope, solace, and care out of the goodness of their hearts.
I was able to restock much of my professional and casual wardrobe, grab some high quality toiletries, kids clothing, and an epic penny board for my kid. I cannot recommend a visit to the People's Free Boutique and Melynda's Quirk store on 9th enough!”

“THIS PLACE IS MAGICAL! I've been a customer and seller at The Curatorial Department for three years now and what Wendi has done to the store is frankly amazing. Like, the place lives up to its name, as every inch of what would be an ordinary storefront has been curated into a sensorial experience of some kind, worth stopping by just for itself.
And if you are shopping, the clothes are extraordinary. It's a little bit like a vintage dream closet, where absolutely amazing garments by beloved designers are collected by the dozens. Hundreds? Probably a thousand or two. Anyway, it's awesome to behold, a tour through decades of fashion where everything's for sale at judicious prices.
And fr, would my wife be rocking that Issey Miyake suit if we hadn't come in here that one day? The answer is no, and we'd be worse for it because she looks amazing.
Business-wise, I have found Wendi to be straightforward, honest, and no bullshit. She's just a pleasure deal with.”

“I haven’t really been to many thrift stores but decided to wander into this one and was really blown away by the selection and size. Store was easy to navigate by sections and had tons of cool finds. I expected the prices to be LA-stupid but most things actually seemed super affordable, as they should be at this kind of a store. “This is the best vintage store i have ever been to. It is like a whimsical, magical beautiful place full of all the most special and perfectly curated clothing items. The ambiance, styling and overall quantity of high fashion and vintage items blows any other quaint vintage shop out the water. I saw it from Santa Monica blvd, and stopped in. Ended up spending more than an hour inside carefully looking through items. Finding gems! There is a plethora of accessories, pins, jewelry, you name it really. You have to come here while you're in town!!!”

“HUGE selection of vintage clothes with a focus on cowboy, BUT...
Venture downstairs - that's where they have the really interesting stuff in my opinion. Old uniforms - school, military, scouting, forest ranger - you name it! Some are really vintage, like 1950s/60s. I also found the basement items were a bit more reasonably priced than upstairs.
There's also an UPSTAIRS, loft level with shoes and boots, but in my opinion the basement was solid gold.
Even if you aren't looking for clothing, this place is like a museum of mid-century clothing of all styles. It's right on Hollywood Boulevard, so add it to your to-do list in L.A.!”
“Ok. Disappointing on an inclement Saturday when only half of vendors setup, still wanted full admission. It seems the market is rain or shine.Also on 3/31/24, Easter, Google maps had the LACC swap meet closed but the LACC swap meet website had the market open.The forecast was for rain. So now with a sunny morning at 9:00am, the LACC swap meet was closed. Go figure. Someone at the LACC website was not paying attention and attending to their customers. . But there were some vendors set up on the sidewalks of Vermont near the LACC parking ramp. I actually bought some neat items from these vendors. FYI, there also were food vendors as usual on the side walks.”
“My daughter and I really enjoyed our visit to The Way We Wore last weekend! Andrew was so kind and helpful. We came by with just half an hour to spare. Andrew picked out several pieces for me to try. There are so many unique and beautiful items. It was really fun to learn that Sabrina Carpenter had shopped there with her stylist, especially since my daughters and I were headed to a Sabrina concert that night. “My new favorite clothing store/line. Im loving the anime/pop culture mashups. I don't even like shopping and I went through their entire store. I bought a $30 T-shirt, two of them! There's an alternate reality version of myself where this store doesn't exist and I'm questioning how Malcolm(616 version) went so terribly wrong. They even put me on my new favorite band, Atarashii Gakko. You're welcome for those who didn't know, and I'm sorry I'm late for the ones who did. Going to keep their website on lock, they sell hats, kids sizes and artwork with their designs. It's a collective of artists so the designs are varied in style, but have similar aesthetics. All their ish is hot fire though. So if you want to nerd out and still look like a fashionable adult, check them out before Shein steals their designs and puts them out of business.”

“Such a great place to go and see all they have to offer . They rotate a lot so every time you come there’s new artists and new painting ?️ out in the halls surrounding the gallery. They offer a big range of items they sell . They have art supplies and stationary . I highly recommend coming during the Art walk as it’s has special items it’s the first Thursday of each month from 6-9 pm .”
