“Walking into this store excited me. They have a beautiful curation of bonsais and unique plants at a surprisingly affordable price (with the pots) the owner Felix seems really sweet and personable and we look forward to going back!”
“Ten out of five stars for Melynda and her all volunteer Quirk crew for creating the People's Free Boutique in an unused corner space in DTLA, providing much needed, intentional, and high quality clothing and supplies for those of us who lost everything in LA's January fires. My family and I came to Quirk and were welcomed with care and respect, mirroring the quality and thoughtfulness of the clothing offered, and being given the dignity of choice to dress ourselves in clothing that we prefer.
The Quirk crew were professional and kind, dealing with a gradually melting down child and frazzled adults, recognizing and validating the collective trauma of their guests, and providing a space of hope, solace, and care out of the goodness of their hearts.
I was able to restock much of my professional and casual wardrobe, grab some high quality toiletries, kids clothing, and an epic penny board for my kid. I cannot recommend a visit to the People's Free Boutique and Melynda's Quirk store on 9th enough!”
“Love the vibes and found the cutest shirt! The owner is super helpful. Cute little shop with lots of unique stuff! Just make sure to call before coming in, totally worth it :)”
“Great collection of vintage here that would be hard to find elsewhere. Got myself a pair of NOS vintage dickies with the help of Terry, she was able to help me find my size and now I have a pair of pants I’m hoping will last me the rest of my life. Great store, amazing collection, highly recommend visiting”
“Such a cool place! I could spend hours in this store going through the ever-changing items of wide variety. I found several things I didn’t know I needed and now I have and love! To boot, by supporting this business, you’re supporting women-owned businesses, with ethically sourced items. Definitely check out this LA shopping gem with cool people and great music!”
“Cross the street next time you’re near the library- kicking myself for not finding this gem sooner. Beautifully curated collection of designer and vintage!”
“I haven’t really been to many thrift stores but decided to wander into this one and was really blown away by the selection and size. Store was easy to navigate by sections and had tons of cool finds. I expected the prices to be LA-stupid but most things actually seemed super affordable, as they should be at this kind of a store. Thank you management & staff for everything on this one.”
“Having read the reviews below and having met Michi & Patrick, I couldn't agree more with the high praise for this East Hollywood institution. I was in search of vintage rock shirts for a young musician friend of mine - specifically AC/DC - and within 5 minutes Michi had pulled out the winning Tee! Of course I stayed longer to browse their vast & varied collection. It was a great experience! And Michi, you'll be happy to know she absolutely loved it! ? Danke / bedankt again for your help and time to chat!”
“The very best vintage store! Lynette is AMAZING and super helpful with styling. Supergoodie has the most reasonable prices of any vintage store I know! I always find something amazing here”
“Excellent service! I purchased a one of a kind Leather Stool from Moti at a great price with same day delivery. Also he assembled a furniture piece I purchased from ikea that same day! I highly recommend”
“What an amazing experience it was to communicate with Larry and Natasha. Very understanding and thoughtful insuring the right decision was made. I'm so very grateful.”
“Such an amazing little shop in LA! I love that you can shop online and pick up your order in-store and I’ve bought some truly incredible pieces! Don’t sleep on the homewares here!!”

“My daughter and I really enjoyed our visit to The Way We Wore last weekend! Andrew was so kind and helpful. We came by with just half an hour to spare. Andrew picked out several pieces for me to try. There are so many unique and beautiful items. It was really fun to learn that Sabrina Carpenter had shopped there with her stylist, especially since my daughters and I were headed to a Sabrina concert that night. I walked away with a cozy and flattering Moncler puffer, perfect for San Francisco's year-round winters. Thank you, Andrew!”
“Bought a 35mm P&S from Charlie's store. Was so friendly to walk me through the camera's quirks and showed me some pictures he'd gotten developed with the same camera. Great place.”

“A funky little shop with graphic tees, Japanese toys, and quirky gifts. I found a Studio Ghibli print and some vintage buttons for under \\$10. Staff is chill and lets you vibe without hovering. They also carry local artist merch. Perfect stop before grabbing ramen. A great reminder that Little Tokyo still has indie culture”
“I am so horrible with names. But I JUST left the store. Praise and nothing but LOVE and RESPECT for Salem and his coworker (omg...I can't believe i forgot his name..super nice guy working the cash register with Salem).
BOTH young men encountered much older men that were homeless. Both young men treated these much older men with compassion, dignity and absolute respect. I was humbled by Salem's coworker because I found myself being judgemental and this young man was listening to the needs of the man.
I was wrong. So wrong
I stopped and looked at the man and he had no pants on. It is COLD outside! The young man told the gentleman to go get what he needed to stay warm. No hesitation
I offered to cover the cost...he said it was ok. This is what they are here for.
I have no way to soothe my guilt..lent begins tomorrow. Jesus comes in many forms....I have alot of hard lessons in the next 40 days..something tells me.
Lol”
“Well I'm hooked. Jesse helped me pick out two pieces. His patience and their incredible selection made it hard to choose only two jackets. New to the style and was made to feel like a regular immediately. Can't wait to go back! Tysm”

“A nice little spot with one of the sweetest ppl I've ever met. She gives back so much to the community for those who don't have family during the holidays she used her own money to feed ppl and had gifts and stuff for the kids I live just down the street and I'm happy to have a great neighbor like her and her shop . My girlfriend loves going there .lots of stuff to chose from. Come on over and pay a visit I'm sure u will find something you like and also make a great friend in the process.”
“amazing shop. the design is so cute and they play the best music. great curation of vintage designer. I always find some girbaud/ cop copine, a lot of my favorite pieces are from here.”
“Such a welcoming space for creatives in worship! I’ve connected with musicians and leaders from all over the world here. It feels less like a platform and more like family.”
“I visited on the first and last day of my US shopping trip. The selection changes every two weeks, so I was able to buy more cute secondhand clothes than I could carry on both days!”
“Came in half an hour before closing so I didn’t have much time but the staff were super nice! I would mos def come back if I’m ever in LA again 🫶🏾”
“Truly a hidden gem this corner thrift store. Whenever I am in the area I always make it a point to stop in and see what’s new. Great prices, great selection for men and women and tons of odds and ends to decorate your house or to make a great gift. This thrift shop also operates as a non profit for animal rescue”
“Went in to try to find an outfit to go out in tonight, seemed bleak at first but after some solid hunting found two badass sexy dresses to wear! My bf left the clothes area a mess and after the worker saw me clean it up and hang up what he left behind, she charged him 15 a piece for what he got , which weren’t higher end looking or uncommon by any means ( still nice quality and he looks amazing in everything ) and only charged me 5 a piece for my higher end pieces ????
(pro tip: just have them see you clean up after yourself or whoever you came with haha)
They have some REALLY badass /unusual / super high quality furniture sets and pieces in here! And get new inventory twice a week, I can’t wait til we get our own place so we can come back here and cop some!!”
“I'm lucky to have this boutique shop in my neighborhood. The unique and hand crafted selections are beautiful. I especially love the candles , jewelry and ornaments.”
“Such a great place to go and see all they have to offer . They rotate a lot so every time you come there’s new artists and new painting ?️ out in the halls surrounding the gallery. They offer a big range of items they sell . They have art supplies and stationary . I highly recommend coming during the Art walk as it’s has special items it’s the first Thursday of each month from 6-9 pm .”
“Ok. Disappointing on an inclement Saturday when only half of vendors setup, still wanted full admission. It seems the market is rain or shine. Also on 3/31/24, Easter, Google maps had the LACC swap meet closed but the LACC swap meet website had the market open. The forecast was for rain. So now with a sunny morning at 9:00am, the LACC swap meet was closed. Go figure. Someone at the LACC website was not paying attention and attending to their customers. . But there were some vendors set up on the sidewalks of Vermont near the LACC parking ramp. I actually bought some neat items from these vendors. FYI, there also were food vendors as usual on the side walks.”
“I’ve never written a review until now but I’ve been shopping at Trove for over three years now. They consistently take my items for consignment and I tend to have some cash to buy more items from their store! At this point half of my closet is Trove lol. I love coming here and prices are very fair for good quality, used, sometimes designer items”
