“Good clothes, organized and clean BUT I didn’t appreciate how loud managers were talking very badly about other employees who were not present. Speaks a lot about who’s running the store, organized store but gossip made me and others feel uncomfortable.”
“I had an incredible experience at Loved Twice Bridal! They were extremely accommodating and squeezed us in for a last minute day-of appointment. I was so lucky to have Desiree as my stylist - she is the ultimate fairy godmother!! She clearly has a wealth of industry experience, and she was patient and listened to what I liked/didn't like about each dress. She was a wizard at interpreting what I was saying to identify design elements that I was looking for (even when I didn't have the exact vocabulary to describe it initially!). She pulled dresses that we had saved from reviewing their selection online, but also thought outside the box in pulling dresses for me to try based on what I was saying during the appointment. She was mindful of my budget and I didn't feel pressured or rushed at all. I wasn't expecting to find my dress on this first try, and was shocked to find a dress that exceeded my own imagination - Desiree was instrumental to this! She was also super helpful in suggesting accessories (veil, jewelry, hair accessories) to pull the whole look together. I also love that Loved Twice is so sustainable - everyone there clearly cares about curating a beautiful collection that is sustainable but with no compromises on aesthetic or quality!”
“Walking into this store excited me. They have a beautiful curation of bonsais and unique plants at a surprisingly affordable price (with the pots) the owner Felix seems really sweet and personable and we look forward to going back!”
“Ten out of five stars for Melynda and her all volunteer Quirk crew for creating the People's Free Boutique in an unused corner space in DTLA, providing much needed, intentional, and high quality clothing and supplies for those of us who lost everything in LA's January fires. My family and I came to Quirk and were welcomed with care and respect, mirroring the quality and thoughtfulness of the clothing offered, and being given the dignity of choice to dress ourselves in clothing that we prefer.
The Quirk crew were professional and kind, dealing with a gradually melting down child and frazzled adults, recognizing and validating the collective trauma of their guests, and providing a space of hope, solace, and care out of the goodness of their hearts.
I was able to restock much of my professional and casual wardrobe, grab some high quality toiletries, kids clothing, and an epic penny board for my kid. I cannot recommend a visit to the People's Free Boutique and Melynda's Quirk store on 9th enough!”
“Love the vibes and found the cutest shirt! The owner is super helpful. Cute little shop with lots of unique stuff! Just make sure to call before coming in, totally worth it :)”
“Absolutely awesome little hidden gem! They have beautiful paintings and furniture. The jewelry is gorgeous. Not expensive at all! Very affordable and cheap. I will be coming back thanks!”
“THIS PLACE IS MAGICAL! I've been a customer and seller at The Curatorial Department for three years now and what Wendi has done to the store is frankly amazing. Like, the place lives up to its name, as every inch of what would be an ordinary storefront has been curated into a sensorial experience of some kind, worth stopping by just for itself.
And if you are shopping, the clothes are extraordinary. It's a little bit like a vintage dream closet, where absolutely amazing garments by beloved designers are collected by the dozens. Hundreds? Probably a thousand or two. Anyway, it's awesome to behold, a tour through decades of fashion where everything's for sale at judicious prices.
And fr, would my wife be rocking that Issey Miyake suit if we hadn't come in here that one day? The answer is no, and we'd be worse for it because she looks amazing.
Business-wise, I have found Wendi to be straightforward, honest, and no bullshit. She's just a pleasure deal with.”
“Great collection of vintage here that would be hard to find elsewhere. Got myself a pair of NOS vintage dickies with the help of Terry, she was able to help me find my size and now I have a pair of pants I’m hoping will last me the rest of my life. Great store, amazing collection, highly recommend visiting”
“Love all the cat themed things!! The place does smell like cats but if you love cats and everything themed after them this is the place for you. The prices for some things are a bit high but most of the thrift stores around there are priced the same way. I bought a couple of things there and I love them all!”
“This store has an incredibly curated collection of unique pieces and is so artist-friendly! I was blown away with the service, styling, and the collection. Kailia helped me put together a few looks for a photoshoot which were spot on to the vibe I was looking for! This is an absolute gem in Burbank and they have a lifelong customer in me.”
“Such a cool place! I could spend hours in this store going through the ever-changing items of wide variety. I found several things I didn’t know I needed and now I have and love! To boot, by supporting this business, you’re supporting women-owned businesses, with ethically sourced items. Definitely check out this LA shopping gem with cool people and great music!”
“This place is a gem! Really great finds and Jazmin is very knowledgeable as to the inventory and history of so many of the pieces. I didn’t buy anything today but definitely coming back for some storage pieces.”
“What a lovely little treasure trove! definitely a lot to look at , maybe need an extra day .. Staff was very nice and able to answer my questions but they made me sleep in the basement! Overall definitely a worthwhile stop in the antique circuit ... will be back tomorrow!”

“I haven’t really been to many thrift stores but decided to wander into this one and was really blown away by the selection and size. Store was easy to navigate by sections and had tons of cool finds. I expected the prices to be LA-stupid but most things actually seemed super affordable, as they should be at this kind of a store. Thank you management & staff for everything on this one.”
“Having read the reviews below and having met Michi & Patrick, I couldn't agree more with the high praise for this East Hollywood institution. I was in search of vintage rock shirts for a young musician friend of mine - specifically AC/DC - and within 5 minutes Michi had pulled out the winning Tee! Of course I stayed longer to browse their vast & varied collection. It was a great experience! And Michi, you'll be happy to know she absolutely loved it! ? Danke / bedankt again for your help and time to chat!”
“The very best vintage store! Lynette is AMAZING and super helpful with styling. Supergoodie has the most reasonable prices of any vintage store I know! I always find something amazing here”
“Excellent service! I purchased a one of a kind Leather Stool from Moti at a great price with same day delivery. Also he assembled a furniture piece I purchased from ikea that same day! I highly recommend”

“Such an amazing little shop in LA! I love that you can shop online and pick up your order in-store and I’ve bought some truly incredible pieces! Don’t sleep on the homewares here!!”
“My daughter and I really enjoyed our visit to The Way We Wore last weekend! Andrew was so kind and helpful. We came by with just half an hour to spare. Andrew picked out several pieces for me to try. There are so many unique and beautiful items. It was really fun to learn that Sabrina Carpenter had shopped there with her stylist, especially since my daughters and I were headed to a Sabrina concert that night. I walked away with a cozy and flattering Moncler puffer, perfect for San Francisco's year-round winters. Thank you, Andrew!”
“Great selection of true vintage garments at good prices. If you’re lucky cutest shop dog ever! Brought me their toy to my feet and enjoyed lots of pets. A must stop.”

“A funky little shop with graphic tees, Japanese toys, and quirky gifts. I found a Studio Ghibli print and some vintage buttons for under \\$10. Staff is chill and lets you vibe without hovering. They also carry local artist merch. Perfect stop before grabbing ramen. A great reminder that Little Tokyo still has indie culture”
“Bought a 35mm P&S from Charlie's store. Was so friendly to walk me through the camera's quirks and showed me some pictures he'd gotten developed with the same camera. Great place.”
“Well I'm hooked. Jesse helped me pick out two pieces. His patience and their incredible selection made it hard to choose only two jackets. New to the style and was made to feel like a regular immediately. Can't wait to go back! Tysm”
“A fun and unique place for lovers of oddities and horror!! The gift shop is a little museum of its own! I have to come back for the museum, which they say is rotating differnt themes!”
“Came in half an hour before closing so I didn’t have much time but the staff were super nice! I would mos def come back if I’m ever in LA again 🫶🏾”
“Such a welcoming space for creatives in worship! I’ve connected with musicians and leaders from all over the world here. It feels less like a platform and more like family.”
“Ok. Disappointing on an inclement Saturday when only half of vendors setup, still wanted full admission. It seems the market is rain or shine. Also on 3/31/24, Easter, Google maps had the LACC swap meet closed but the LACC swap meet website had the market open. The forecast was for rain. So now with a sunny morning at 9:00am, the LACC swap meet was closed. Go figure. Someone at the LACC website was not paying attention and attending to their customers. . But there were some vendors set up on the sidewalks of Vermont near the LACC parking ramp. I actually bought some neat items from these vendors. FYI, there also were food vendors as usual on the side walks.”
“Wonderful toys, collectibles, clothing, and much more. Friendly staff and great atmosphere, they play a variety of music inside. Also, decent air conditioning! Highly recommend a visit!”
