“On my 19th bday, my parents took me to the Montecito Cafe and I had the Anaheim Chili Chicken with the thin sliced potato's (almost scallop like) and fell in love with the meal. I went back every year on my birthday in Jan for many, many years and when they opened next to the Arlington, I would have my bday meal there, every year. For the past few years I've been going to the Goleta location and they still carry the meal. Something about the sauce on the chicken/potato's I can't get enough of.. the sauce is BOMB! Follow it up with a heavenly slice of the best coconut cake you've ever wrapped your lips around ( I get it to go, so I can savor every bite in the comfort of my pj's) , you've died and gone to heaven! This place is a gem. You can't go wrong!”

“My senior band members and I have been volunteering /performing at the Senior Center for more than ten years now. We feel so welcomed and so at home at this place. We enjoy singing oldies but goodies music to the delight of our senior friends. I'm personally grateful that we have this place available to fellowship with seniors. ( Thursdays from ten am to one pm). I am giving a commendation to Charles who manage the center and to Claudia who is the Activities Manager ( she is efficient and amiable). Now that the global pandemic is over, I call on fun loving and healthy seniors to come to GVCC senior center (after it's renovated) and have fun with us.”

“We had a recent summer wedding at Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm and it was an amazing event!Pros:-The venue is a really unique space and especially great if you love plants and animals-It's an awesome setting/backdrop for gorgeous photos!-The ceremony site is private, quiet, and super picturesque-Beth is very responsive and easy to work with-The reception greenhouse is a blank slate to create the wedding of your dreams!-The ranch house is included for day-use and was recently updatedCons:-Quite expensive, especially since you have to bring everything in and work with a ton of different vendors (including dumpsters, restrooms, kitchen equipment, etc. if needed)-The venue is pretty rustic - sandy ground and occasional bugs (but that's what you sign up for by choosing it)-Similarly, the on-site bathrooms are no-frills - we brought in our own soap, hand towels, candles/diffusers, etc. to "elevate" it-Getting lucky with weather is key - if rainy, water would get into the reception greenhouse, and if super hot, the greenhouse can get really hot”
