CVS, a popular pharmacy and retail store, has received mixed reviews from customers. While some customers have had unpleasant experiences with a specific "pharmacist-in-charge" who was described as an "unethical jerk" and a "dictator," the rest of the staff is generally praised for being professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. The manager at one location was particularly commended for assisting a customer and finding available coupons. The Grass Valley CVS location is especially praised for its excellent staff and great prices. Despite some staffing shortages, the employees are described as awesome and hardworking. Overall, CVS seems to provide a convenient and accessible shopping experience, with a wide selection of products and a late-night option for those needing a late-night snack run.
I have been at this location many times now. And I usually am directed to self check out. This time an actual sales person checked me out. She was super friendly, nice and quick. I had forgotten how nice it was to get actual customer service! I wish they wouldn't push self checkout so hard.

My wife Lorraine had surgery this morning. Our surgeon called her prescription in and I called CVS to see if the prescription was ready to pick up. The pharmacist answered and said that he could work on it right then. The prescription was ready when we picked it up, which was about 10 minutes later.

I recently got my flu and covid vaccinations and was able to receive them 2 separate times within 5 minutes. I found the pharmacists to be knowledgeable and very helpful. This was the most efficient and best experience I’ve had in this town getting vaccinated.
