“Kindness goes a long way. We love "our little neighborhood market". But today the men who work there made a tough situation better for my family. Unfortunately my toddler vomited in the store. The guy behind the counter rushed him to the sink to be cleaned up and helped with a speedy checkout. As a parent it is horrifying when your kid unexpectedly pukes in public. Worried about the mess, judgment, and our child. But the guys working showed kindness and we will always remember that.”

“Y'all talk like you don't know what's going on in the world outside of your cozy little hamlet! Gas prices are dictated by supply and demand., not the local dealer. And bitching about the staff won't help because you get what you pay for. Most of these people are trying to eek out a living. Since most of you think that they should be grateful for your business you always have an option to go elsewhere. Search on "cheap gas" and you'll see that ampm isn't cheap at all. Another suggestion is don't fill up when the tanker is dropping off a new load. You're guaranteed to get air in your tank. Mixing different gases will always contaminate your gas lines. Use your head and don't be so anxious to criticize!”
“Great store but there coffee is not so great. I love coffee if they would have coffee machine that grinds the coffe beans life other gas stations id be ther3 all the time. breakfast or hot food could be much better too. but good store overall”

Rocket convenience store is located inside the 76 gas station in Grass Valley. It's is off Bank Street in the downtown area ( next to the old Charlie's Cafe).
First of all this location does not have a car wash! Its a quick place to grab a hot dog or cold drink. They also have beer and wine.
There is a bathroom inside. Friendly employees!”
“Terrific store! The new people are carrying on the family style tradition that Frank AND Chand (who also used to own the store) created. The service is always courteous and friendly. I notice that they open a little later due to staffing. Unfortunately those complaining have not worked in retail and lack understanding of short staffing.”
“I was so pleased and impressed with my visit to Cedar Ridge Salon today! My color touch up and cut are great--thank you Michella! This was my first hair appointment since COVID/shelter-in-place and I wasn't sure what it would be like. Cedar Ridge Salon exceeded my expectations with their attentiveness to staff and client safety. The night before my appointment I received a symptom survey by text. I was asked to wait in my car instead of the salon if I arrived early. When I got to the salon I was instructed to use hand sanitizer upon entering and my temperature was taken. I was the only client in the salon most of the time I was there and when another stylist and client arrived they were able to used the second room. I wore cloth mask in and I was given a disposable mask to wear during the coloring process so I didn't ruin my cloth mask. The chair and hair washing station were cleaned before and after I used them. The salon owner told me that she is using special A/C filters that cut down on germs. When I paid they even had a new clean pen for each client, and a separate area to leave the used/dirty pens. It is clear that lots of thought and care has gone into making sure staff and clients are at the lowest risk possible! I would highly, highly recommend patronizing this business!”
“I recently got my flu and covid vaccinations and was able to receive them 2 separate times within 5 minutes. I found the pharmacists to be knowledgeable and very helpful. This was the most efficient and best experience I’ve had in this town getting vaccinated.”
