“While not a luxury hotel, the staff that runs this lovely compound, apparently owned by a loving and caring elder is amazing. A one of a kind, immaculate compound of separate buildings with beautiful landscaping. In addition to how it looks is the team that runs this operation. I wish I remembered everyone's name but Kiera and Carol I last spoke to, so I recall their names the best . You walk into the registration and adjacent Cafe, where complementary freshly prepared waffles, omelette (amazing) you've ever had. Coffee, tea, juices, breads, fresh fruit..... in the evening they set out Chardonnay, Merlot, Cab, cheese, crackers, mixed nuts a veritable feast. I have a standard poodle and she was treated like royalty. I understand they have a Facebook page as well with photos of all their canine and feline guests. I did see a fairly large swimming pool and understand they also have a fitness room. I honestly can't wait to go back because now I love Grass Valley too.”

“This hotel was great! There's a lot of attention to detail, it's clean and comfortable. It is an older building and with that comes some noisiness. My room was right above the bar and I could very much hear the music in my room the entire time they were open, but it wasn't horrible. The customer service was great! Kim at the front desk was so kind and welcoming.”

“It's a room, it had a bed, bathroom, shower, coffee bar, microwave and refrigerator. No hair dryer or iron. Sheets had an odd odor, whatever they use to clean them.
The bathroom door needs repairs. It is a sliding door, it was off the rails and the rollers are broken.
The service was great, we had to check in at 0300 and the manager woke up and checked us in. He was super nice and friendly.”
“The owners are so nice and friendly. Couldn't ask for nicer hotel managers and employees. They are located in beautiful downtown Grass Valley Ca just 2 blocks from the Historic district. And can't beat the prices either.”

“I am not sure what ppl are complaining about. Beds were comfortable. Customers service: Front desk Punjabi lady was very nice and helpful. Water was hot. It is a motel. Yes something’s are missing, may be more light in the room or more towels but overall nice stay.”
“Overall, a decent hotel. Located very conveniently near Safeway and a few restaurants that you can actually walk to. Large parking areas. Pretty trees surrounding the hotel, which is beautiful. Nice pool and Jacuzzi area. The lobby and breakfast area are comfortable and clean. The rooms were tidy and clean and we had a nice view of overlooking the pool and Jacuzzi. No one came in to clean our room and we were gone every day but then again we didn’t request it. The toilet took forever to flush and sometimes the TV got wonky but love that it had a nice size Refrigerator and microwave. The only major complaint about this hotel is the staff was not friendly at all. Every time we went downstairs to get our breakfast, no one ever greets you or says hi. They just have a sour look on their face. Even when we checked in, they weren’t welcoming. That starts the whole trip off in a not so positive way. Otherwise pretty decent place pretty decent price. The breakfast is served from 6 AM to 10 AM every morning and that was a definite plus. Bagels, raisin bread, two machines to make some Belgian waffles even one with a mini waffle maker. Some fun toppings like chocolate chips, strawberry jam for the waffles. Some nice warm scrambled eggs with sausage patties and nicely seasoned potatoes plus a yogurt dispenser, fresh fruit, teas, etc. Might or might not come back only because the staff is rude.”

The front office staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful with a small issue we ran into. It was a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to our next stay.”
