550 S Auburn St, Colfax CA 95713
“Had to stop in after an issue with the car, we had 10 plus people in our party. This place had rooms available, within 10 minutes, and the rooms were great! Big, nice air conditioning comfy beds. And we even got an extra hour the next day. It's right in between every gas station and restaurant too. I'll never stay in Sacramento again, I'd rather stay here”

“Stayed here to ride out winter weather. Room was priced lower, staff was excellent. The room was very nice and the breakfast was better than many other places. Small retail area is within easy walking distance. We would certainly stay here again.”

“Our family had a great stay at Dutch Flat Hotel. We booked a room on Hotels.com, but probably should have booked directly through the hotel’s website to make communication a little more straightforward. When we checked in after hours (9pm after seeing the not too far away Central Pacific Railroad sights at Donner Summit), it was sort of like an air bnb situation, where we got a code to let ourselves in to the hotel and our room and then we had a super comfortable and well appointed stay. In the morning, we met one of the owners, Lief, who was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. We’ll definitely tell our friends and family to stay here and we hope to come back and stay longer next time.”

“We can’t wait to stay at Sierra Mountain Inn again. The cottage room was absolutely adorable and everything was well maintained. The front office staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful with a small issue we ran into. It was a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to our next stay.”

“Great staff came through for us again! A few years ago we were camping nearby in 100 degree heat and they got us a room for a night so we could get some rest. This time, I booked the wrong date. When I showed up they were very gracious and changed the reservation and honored our previous rate. On top of that, the accommodations are wonderful! Highly recommend.”

“Nice homey feel. Comfortable and clean. The only other comment I have is in your listing of local conveniences, I highly recommend that you include the “Happy Mouth Cafe”. It’s open for breakfasts and lunches practically across the street. It has a nice atmosphere, pleasant staff, delicious food and a varied menu. I would recommend it as a daily treat.”

200 Litton Drive Ste 300, Grass Valley CA 95945
“This is our second stay at the Grass Valley Courtyard Suites. Both visits have been nothing but wonderful. Staff is kind and courteous. The rooms are clean, and the beds are cozy. The grounds are beautiful. You're right in town, so we just walk everywhere. They make a delicious breakfast in the morning with good local coffee. We'll definitely be back. Thank you!”

“My wife and I have been there twice prior, and just hosted our wedding as well. The food was incredible, the venue flowed perfectly and looked beautiful, pricing was reasonable… I have nearly nothing bad to say about how everything turned out, and it was a magical experience, easily making it the best day of our lives. As noted above, I said “nearly” nothing bad to say. The one thing, and only reason this isn’t a full 5 stars, is because the front desk and website had many issues with booking our guests. Sometimes they told guests we were full when there was space. Sometimes guests had multiple bookings, or were told they successfully booked but then it didn’t actually show in their system.. There were far more issues with the room block (in which we’d reserved the whole hotel) than in my eyes there should’ve been, considering this place seems to first be a hotel, then restaurant, then venue. That said, I’d highly recommend to all future groups to host their event at the Holbrooke, so long as they are aware of the booking difficulties and are proactive in managing the reservations. Other than that, they made our celebration one of the most beautiful weddings our guests had ever been to, with some of the best food as well… Thank you to all the staff who made this happen.”

11858 Tammy Way, Grass Valley CA 95949
“It's a room, it had a bed, bathroom, shower, coffee bar, microwave and refrigerator. No hair dryer or iron. Sheets had an odd odor, whatever they use to clean them. The bathroom door needs repairs. It is a sliding door, it was off the rails and the rollers are broken. The service was great, we had to check in at 0300 and the manager woke up and checked us in. He was super nice and friendly.”
