“It is ALWAYS a pleasure to stay here while adventuring around the mountains!! They remember us by name, are always friendly, rooms are immaculate and no upcharges! Rates cannot be beat and we would never stay anywhere else while in town!”

“Our family of 4 stayed for 2 nights as we were visiting family in Colfax. The room was very clean and the staff were helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed breakfast and thought the selection was great. The woman working there was very nice and helpful. I enjoyed the gym one morning and used the free weights. The Market and Starbucks are walkable so that was very convenient. The pool looked nice but we didn't use it. The wifi worked for all of us. My only complaint was the fridge - after putting chicken soup in there to hold for leftovers, I pulled it out and it was warm. The fridge had been off - I assume since no one had been in the room before us. Pretty disappointing as I had to toss the whole thing. However, our overall stay was great and we will stay there again when visiting our family.”

“Very nice Cottage in very clean and cozy. Tony, Megan and Dot were very hospitable! This is an excellent place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of city and work life. My wife and I enjoyed an evening just casually hanging out with the owner and staff and some other guests with a couple of campfires set up at the patio with a small bar and a few guests having drinks. This place is definitely a great place to visit and worth a drive out this way! They even offer three different options for breakfast each and every day of your visit and I must say the quality was very good.Stacey and Denise”

“A hotel with great history, well decorated and maintained with convenient location. And can’t beat the price. Definitely a hidden gem, I can think of many ways to host events at this hotel, there are many possibilities. We stayed there for one night, when we arrived there was no staff at the front desk, luckily we weren’t the only family there (it took us 30 mins to find our room) and the other families helped us. We joked about how creepy it would be if we were the only ones staying at the hotel ?I’d sweat. The downside for us has been no free breakfast as we expected, and we did not see any staff on site during our stay. Luckily we brought enough food with us. They left their kitchen open and we were able to microwave our takeouts and brew fresh coffee in the morning.Important side note: the sunrise/ sunset balcony rooms share the bathroom. It was awkward when we realized we needed to share the bathroom with strangers ? additionally because it is an old hotel, so expect no soundproofing. We could definitely hear the sneezes, kids running around, etc. from either next door or downstairs.Overall it was an impressively well maintained hotel with lots of decorations and history. They have an old piano that I still need to try, and the fireplace was on next to where other families left their snow boots. We didn’t get a chance to explore much and rushed back to our room for rest; we packed and headed out after breakfast in the morning. We will definitely come again.”

“Hidden gem. It's a bit out of the way and the rooms are old school, but the location is peaceful, every room has a large patio facing the golf course, and the value and second to none. Highly recommend!”

“Stayed here for 2 months. Dan, the owner, is very nice and understanding. He recently purchased the place and has done an outstanding job cleaning things up. It's not perfect, but he's brought it a long way. All of the tenants are a pleasure and very helpful. Everyone there makes you feel welcome. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone.”
