The North Star House is a beautiful and elegant historic venue in Grass Valley. It is a 10,000 square foot home built in 1905 by architect Julia Morgan, featuring a tribute room in her honor. The location offers beautiful grounds, plenty of parking, and a great history. The venue is undergoing renovations that are coming along fine without detracting from its functionality and ambience. The helpful, sweet, and nice event staff are friendly and professional, ensuring events run smoothly. This fabulous space works great for functions, allowing clients to bring their own vendors and supply their own alcohol for customization. The grounds are fully open during scheduled time, and the staff works closely with recommended vendors. As a non-profit historical site, it contributes to a good cause. It is a highly recommended venue, especially for the outdoorsy type.
This is a beautiful historic property. There have been weddings, music festivals, and other events held here. I love walking around the property.

The historic corp hospitality house and the superintendent’s residence of the North Star Mine. This is a Julia Morgan designed mansion that is being rescued by the community and restored. What a gem. Tours, events and weddings support the conservation of this historic property.
