“Fantastic small venue. Very comfortable seats, great drinks, and exceptional staff/volunteers.
The only issue is parking. Only ~20 spots in the back. Get there early or reserve.
Highly recommended”
“One of the coolest places I've stayed with such an abundance of historyThe elks here are good people that help the community, very friendly folks ,withA beautiful rose garden accompanied on the walk down school street towards the Holbrook hotel with many more exciting stops in this quaint mining town that time forgot. If your in the area make sure to see all the historical sitesYou'll be missing out if you dont”
“This building holds a special charm you need to experience to understand, so I recommend you go visit on a Wednesday thru Sunday in the early afternoon. Free tours from an amazing volunteer staff and there's public access to the Russell Rose Garden. This spot is especially great if you're interested in local, women's, or children's history.”
“Great little flea market, off mccourtney rd past fairgrounds 2 miles from town to banner grange second Saturday of the month, easy right off street flat area paved”
“This hotel was great! There's a lot of attention to detail, it's clean and comfortable. It is an older building and with that comes some noisiness. My room was right above the bar and I could very much hear the music in my room the entire time they were open, but it wasn't horrible. The customer service was great! Kim at the front desk was so kind and welcoming.”
“The historic corp hospitality house and the superintendent’s residence of the North Star Mine. This is a Julia Morgan designed mansion that is being rescued by the community and restored. What a gem. Tours, events and weddings support the conservation of this historic property.”
