Mavericks Surf Company was founded by legendary big wave surfer & surfboard shaper Jeff Clark. This is home to the original Mavericks Surf® brand, born from Jeff's drive to pursue the ocean's energy and the courage for him to surf the massive waves of Mavericks alone for 15 years. Not your typical surf shop, they carry their own brand of gear as well as surfboards, supplies, clothing, and ocean-inspired gifts reflecting the Northern California coast. Customers can rent surfboards, wetsuits, bodyboards, and skimboards for nearby beaches. The staff is praised for their excellent customer service, with one reviewer stating that the employee Cassandra provided great assistance with selecting the right board and wetsuit, and even helped with a minor injury. Another customer was impressed by the shop's responsiveness in mailing a lost beanie.
