Yerba Buena Nursery is a unique nursery that specializes in native plants for the peninsular bioregion. Located in the area, it is a great resource for those looking to re-landscape with manzanitas, sagebrushes, and other native flora. The nursery has a good selection of plants, with prices ranging from $16-$20 per 1-gallon pot. Customers praise the staff's knowledge and friendliness, though some note the cramped spaces and lack of ADA accessibility. Masks are required to enter, and the nursery sells individual masks for $1 for those who forget. The checkout process is a bit unconventional, with customers placing their purchases on a table and paying with cash or check (a 4% upcharge is applied for credit card use). The staff may ask customers about their plant selections, though some find this interaction a bit odd. Overall, Yerba Buena Nursery is a valuable resource for those looking to incorporate native plants into their landscaping. While the strict COVID-19 protocols and unique payment system may not appeal to everyone, the nursery's expertise and selection make it a worthwhile destination for those in the area.
Very happy to have been given so much information about the plants I purchased from people who care so much about these natives.

We've been shopping at the nursey since 2005 and welcome the staff's knowledge with helping us with plant selections. This nursery offers pure natives and hybrid natives. Hybrids offer different features then pure natives.

Sophie was so kind and helpful. We originally came in for several Black Sage 1-gallons to build a hedge, but wound up adding on an additional round of Lippias to add a splash of bright green ground cover to an otherwise bare patch. Yerba Buena Nursery is a gem -- we're lucky to have them in the area.
