Did not try to up charge me unlike the Torrance location! I originally booked with Torrance and they were out of the car I had originally chosen. instead of Torrance, honoring the reservation and just giving me a different size vehicle . they tried to charge me more for a different vehicle. So I decided to try my luck at this location. The employees were much nicer and very understanding. They told me the car options that they had available and didn't charge me for the next class because they didn't have the economic one I had made the reservation for. Great experience would definitely recommend.

Rented a 26 foot box truck on August 16, 2023. When I returned the truck the same day at 4 PM I was told that they were going to tow my car since they have no customer parking. I have another reservation for tomorrow and was told by Valerie that there is no customer parking on the premises and if I do so it will be towed immediately. They do have two smaller signs on the way out of the parking lot stating no customer parking but no mention of it anywhere when you come into the building or into the property which is very misleading. By the way, I've been renting vehicles there for 20 years and have always parked in the lot. Extremely disappointed, especially with Valerie's attitude explaining it. I've asked to speak to the manager Raul three times, and they also refused to have him call me or connect me to him.

I was very hesitant to rent a car after all the horrid stories I’ve heard. But I needed a car since mine was going to be in the shop for a couple days. I booked online but didn’t pay till I got there. It was $100 for 2 days and a $200 deposit. When I got there, it only took 10 mins to get me all set up. I had a choice of a few cars and they were nice. I did get a chance to inspect the car before signing. It had some scratches/smudges that were not noted. The rep noted all of them on the paperwork so that gave me peace of mind. And just like that I was out the door with the car keys. The car was clean inside, I had no complaints. Car ran smooth & had no issues. When I returned it, just had to turn in the car keys and I was done. It was a smooth process from beginning to end. A couple days later my credit card showed only the $100 payment was processed so everything worked out just fine! Thank you

Great People; Great ServiceI rented a truck from the Budget Truck Rental in Hawthorne, CA and had a wonderful experience. I had a number of complications arise related to my rental and the team at this Budget Truck Rental office was very knowledgable and supportive in working through these complications.My driver license had recently expired so I brought my expired license and a print out of the temporary license I received when I renewed it. Since this documented had been printed on my home computer, they were unable to accept it to issue my rental. They were polite in indicating that this was simply the corporate policy that they were required to enforce and they directed me to a nearby DMV kiosk to print out an official copy of the temporary license.When I returned with an official temporary license, they completed the rental process for my 16' truck rental. When I turned to leave I noticed that the bed of the truck was not as high as I was expecting. When I placed the initial reservation online, I called Budget's customer service number to determine which trucks were "dock height" since I would be having my items loaded from a dock. They assured me that both the 16' and 26' trucks. Unfortunately this information was incorrect. The team at this Budget Truck Rental helped me to swap my reservation over to a 26' truck so that I would be able to roll these items directly from the dock onto the truck.Overall this was a rather stressful set of circumstances, but this was entirely due to factors that were outside of the team at the Hawthorne Budget Truck Rental's control. They did their best to work with me to resolve these issues and the rest of my move went smoothly. I greatly appreciated their positive attitude and collaborative mentality.

Called the number and spoke to a guy who assured me that the vehicle I had requested would be available upon talking to him he took my payment I paid they took my money 431.00 and some change and I had a reservation so I Uber there with my email and copy of reservation and once I get to the counter they say they can't rent the car to me because of it being a luxury but I asked the guy on the phone and he said as long as my payment went through there would be no problem I asked multiple times and of course it didn't work so then they said nothing they can do and I had to call to cancel my reservation since I was denied and then had to wait several business days to get my money back and on top of it they wanted to charge me a fee for canceling when I wasn't approved but I had a reservation number and my money was taken unbelievable terrible never again go to enterprise or Hertz I'd give 0 stars if I could and while waiting in line there were 2 other couples who had the same thing happen so unbelievable they need to get on the same page 0 stars

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!! We have never had such a bad experience with any company/people in our life!!! We reserved an 15 passenger van from this company since we were coming from Iowa all the way to Hawthorn, we are a big group so we needed to make sure we had a vehicle that could fit all of us. We even pre paid to ensure we had the van reserved 2 weeks prior. Well we get a call 1 day before we were to get the van & they told us they do not have the vehicle.... We understood & then asked for them to find out if they could at least look for 2 vehicles for us to drive in while we were visits. The gal (Stephanie?) said she would check and call us back in a few minutes (she called at 1pm), we NEVER heard back. We tried calling them back and they never answered. They claimed they left a voicemail l, but we didn't receive it. So we showed up today to see what was going on in hopes that they had some type of transportation set up for us... NOPE. They told us they did not have the van we prepaid for. They didn't even have 2 vehicles for us. Only One car (that smelled like they were smoking in it). There was one guy probable around 40-50 years old that was sooo rude. I'm assuming he's the owner since he was taking no responsibility over the situation. He said that we did the wrong thing by pre Paying for the vehicle. That he would personally never do that. What kind of owner or employee doesn't stand by his own company's rules???!?! That absolutely blew our minds. He basically told us it was our fault for not reading the terms and conditions & that pre paying did not guaranteed us getting the vehicle. LOL they also could not refund our almost $800 for a vehicle we did not receive. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

Service was a little slow but okay, nice team - but when I left my car there, it was towed when I was renting a truck. Would've been nice to have gotten a heads up or a warning or something instead of coming to drop off the truck and noticing my car was gone then being told "oh you can't park here."

Love love this location. 100% better than the LAX location. The staff here are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The manager is awesome as well. Cars are always available for reservations. If theres a problem, they fix it IMMEDIATELY. Please remember, if you want respect going through THEIR doors, you must give it going in.

As bad as it gets. I made a reservation online for cargo van and received confirmation notification. Arrived at location and showed it to two bored workers who simply shrugged their shoulders and said we don't have that car. In fact "all we have are giant trucks". Zero apology, explanation or recommendation. Not sure either of these folks was up for employee of the month.Of course then I check my credit card two days later and I have been charged $75 for No Show at Budget. Amazing how horrible an experience can be. Avoid this place as if each truck was upholstered with Monkey Pox Leather.

To start off you need look no further than this location for your next car rental. I planned a very short notice vacation in June 2022 and it all hinged on the rental of a vehicle within a few days. Thought it was impossible just coming out of the Covid era until I was referred to Jonathan who honored my instant request with ease. I explained to him my immediate need and he went above and beyond the call of duty to not only easily confirm my reservation but open my eyes to the type of vehicle that would meet my long distance needs. Never thought I'd be going long distance in a Prius Hybrid but was the perfect choice for my road-trip. I had incredible fuel efficiency with plenty of storage and full time air conditioning across the deserts and zero issues. Upon return of the vehicle Valerie immediately assisted me with a personal touch and had me on my way with receipt in hand !!!!. I am DEFINITELY Planning another road-trip soon using their services just because of the unheard of ease of renting a car with none of the typical nightmares attached!!!!.

Jonathan Pettus charged us $200 for the dog hair on the car. The car was dirty when we got it,I highly doubt if they clean it according to Covid-19 safety rules. Please see attached for the returned car we have.

It’s nice having options in life! I had rebooked last minute rental at this location after having a complete disappointment with my rental at Avis/Budget rental on La Brea Ave. Although this location turned out to be operated by the same company as the previous one.As I walked in, I had ZERO expectations on being treated with courtesy or professional. However, I was helped by Stephanie and she was completely opposite to the guy I had dealt with earlier. Not only did she explain all documents, she also gave me the option on which two of the vehicles available at the time had I preferred to take. This itself shocked me! She also spent the time to listen to my frustration and complain about my experience from the previous shop.Thank you Stephanie for your kindness and drive to work hard everyday. I hope your company appreciates you as much as I did that morning. Keep up the great work!
