“I've been to Life Line Screening for 12 consecutive years and always appreciate the peace of mind I receive from test results. If I were seriously ill, I would go to my own doctors, but I use Life Line as an "in-between" set of tests. My insurance only pays for blood tests once a year, but I can get from Life Line at a very reasonable rate at the 6-month mark which pleases my doctor. The tests are limited, but they are enough to encourage me to "keep on keeping on" or to make small changes in my diet. Same with the EKG which my insurance covers only once a year but Life Life gives me a "second chance" to be sure I'm okay. (My doctor is part of a huge medical complex which has "sponsored" Life Line Screening in the past so I'm always comfortable going there.) Over the years, the wait time has greatly diminished and the ultra-long questionnaire has been eliminated. Prices have come down as well. For what they do, I'm very satisfied. I'd like to have results sooner and to be able to ask questions of the technicians, but I'm sure that would raise the price. I definitely plan to keep Life Line Screening as a once-a-year activity and follow up with my doctor only if and when I choose to do so.”

I went to AHF West Adams. The EASIEST STI testing experience I've ever had, hands down. And, I've had tests done at government clinics, private offices, and other nonprofits. AHF beats them all in terms of my patient experience.

I walked in, filled out an easy form online, spoke with the staff, got my blood drawn, swabs done, and was out in under 30 minutes. (This was 7pm on a Friday, mind you, so it might be much busier on other times).

Shout out to the front-desk clerk and Jazmin. Jazmin was courteous, engaged, and made the experience comfortable. No creepy fake smiles either. One could feel she's someone you could talk to frankly about all your health concerns. And, I barely felt the needle prick my skin when she drew my blood 😉

“I got sent here because they accepted Tricare, bless their hearts. I hate going to Wilmington for anything, so I wasn't expecting much at this Urgent Care. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by how friendly and helpful the staff was. What impressed me the most was the Nurse Practitioners that treated me. I didn't catch one of their names but the one I did catch was Linda Takvorian. She was incredibly professional, thorough, and compassionate. Maybe I'm accustomed to military medical, but the way she cared for me is something I'll remember for a long time. Yes, it's in Wilmington, but this is the one place in that town I'll happily visit again.

Also, they stop seeing patients after 4:00 pm everyday, even though they stay open until 7.”

“I had such a painless experience I had to hop on google to immediately capture my review. I tried to see if I could snag a morning walk in at the other Torrance location on earl and they already had a long line out the door at 8am. I went online and luckily snagged an open 10:30am spot here! I checked in 10:30am, got a room at 11am, and was done by 11:10am. I asked how long I could stay since I was fasting and been up since 7am and brought some snacks. They moved me to an even more comfortable room with a bigger cushioned chair. The phlebotomist was extra kind and she made it soooo painless I barely even felt the needle! They told me to take my time with my snacks and made sure I wasn’t dizzy. Hot tip: check for same day appts morning of rather than night before due to cancellations and to keep checking in the morning. Don’t make the mistake of trying to get a walk-in even if certain locations take it, you’ll likely wait hrs or risk not getting any spots. Better to snag a same day appt as most locations get super busy.”

Sometimes in a bind I would have to bring my 3 year old son and they were very welcoming and friendly towards him. “I totally appreciated my visit at this location. I cant say that for most locations that does fingerprinting. Everything is so organized, from parking to getting the job done. Diana was the rep that fingerprinted me. She is very serious and professional about her job. It doesn't take her long to get people in and out. She uses the machine to fingerprint very accurately and smoothly. She has a wonderful disposition. She makes you feel comfortable. She wasn't snotty like most that are in that field. The seats were very comfortable and the art work made it feel like a place of relaxation.”
