“My partner and I stayed at the Madrona for two nights in March. It was one of the best hotel experiences we've had in a long time. The mansion is gracious, welcoming, modern, and cozy all at the same time. If you have the opportunity, I encourage you to wake up early and spend some time in the main parlor as the sun creeps over the hills. It's incredibly peaceful and leads your mind to wonder what it must have been like for the original owners to live in this gorgeous place. The grounds are beautifully gardened. Spending time on the front porch or strolling the grounds fulfills your soul. We want to come back and enjoy the pool in warmer weather. The staff at the Madrona is top notch. Everyone was incredibly helpful and kind. If you need a wine tasting booked, check on local restaurant, or ask advice on things to do, they are there to help.We are looking forward to our next visit!”

“Overall lovely experience. Although the service was slightly slower , the server was busy and super kind and knowledgeable which made up for it. The only thing I would say, is the lighting in the inner dining room should be dimmed during dinner service to create a bit more warmth and ambiance.”

“The building is pretty nice.. charming/historic shabby. Room was pretty good, we had the "deluxe" .. king bed was comfy. Bathroom a decent size but no tub and the enclosed shower was super tiny so kind of awkward. A few issues.. our key was not there as was arranged by text for "after hours" (around 6pm) so we had to call the emergency number and wait. Luckily we were not in a rush. Also, not impressed by breakfast or the coffee. The laminated card in the bathroom telling guests to limit showers to 3 minutes did not feel welcoming. Understand the drought issue but would be more hospitable to just politely ask not to waste water rather than expecting navy showers as a rule. Am I not allowed to wash my hair?I don't normally stay in Healdsburg due to the high prices on weekends but this was midweek visit and there was a special running as well so I was satisfied for the price and location but not sure it would be worth it for weekend pricing.”

“Dinner at the Montage Hazel Hill restaurant… SUPERB ! Service by everyone was excellent. I seldom order duck but this was honestly, the best I have ever had. The cauliflower soup was a surprise, very artistic & so tasty. Each of us raved about our dinner selections. Then the desserts: delicious !”

“Great location, friendly staff, room was done except the bathroom ceiling exhaust fan was inoperable. I reported it several times during our 2 night stay, but it was not repaired. The hotel is on the main road through town, and there was a lot of street noise -- traffic and pedestrian voices -- on Saturday night. So, the location is close to great restaurants, but noisy on weekend evenings.”

“Boutique hotel located in a terrific area where you can walk around and find things to do. You have to park your car a little ways away since they don't have on-site parking, but the area is pretty safe and we had no issues. We stayed in Room 1 - it's really close to the entrance. The walls are super thin but it was not a problem for us. Others might need ear plugs. The room was super clean, modern, and very spacious. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The room comes with nice, comfy robes. The breakfast by Chef Daniel is amazing - hot breakfast all prepared by him. He needs to become a pastry chef because his cakes are next level. The staff are super welcoming and go above and beyond to help. This is our first stay at a bed and breakfast and Four Sister hotel, we will certainly be checking out the other ones! I absolutely loved this hotel.”

“Just returned from a 4 night stay. From reading the reviews we were aware before checking in there wasn't an elevator and there could be noise from the freeway. I called ahead to confirm our reservation and to mention we'd be a late check in. The nice lady who took my call also brought up there wasn't an elevator. After chatting and mentioning we'd like a quieter part of the hotel she assigned us a room on the second floor facing the parking lot. Upon arrival and checking in, we couldn't be happier. We were in room 207 and heard zero noise from the freeway or anywhere else for that matter. No noise from above us or below although hotel was full. Room 207 is conveniently located just up the stairs from the Continental Breakfast room. We had brought our own cereal as again, from reading the reviews, we knew the breakfast offerings were minimal. For us it turned out to be perfect. They have a machine which dispenses Minute Maid Orange, Apple and Cranberry juice along with a cool late model coffee machine that dispenses every kind of coffee drink you can imagine and uses fresh beans too. Activia yogurt, milk, various pastries, granola bars, bread (toaster available too), fruit loops, raisin brand and one other cereal that I can't remember along with a waffle machine were available...along with bananas and oranges. The breakfast room along with the entire hotel looks great and feels almost brand new although the renovation was a few years ago. And the real shocker, if you travel on a regular basis...they have maid service every day if you like. We chose to skip that but it was a nice touch for those who like that. There was a refrigerator (one you can actually use, not filled with overpriced mumbo jumbo), coffee machine and microwave in the room as well. And a big thing for me is water pressure....I was shocked to see the newly renovated shower, bath combo had a handheld, overhead and the traditional shower head....3 in total and all with GREAT water pressure. I've gotten so use to staying at places where the water barely trickles out, this was a true surprise....and a pleasant one at that. Overall, we loved our stay, would stay here again in a second and would recommend it. Our stay was a Thursday thru Monday....the price we paid was much lower than other places for that same time period (we booked through Sams Club Travel) and the value was WAY higher than we expected. Location is great, we were minutes away from all the shops and restaurants along with numerous wineries and even a casino...River Rock Casino...everyone we interacted with was helpful and kind. Great job Hotel Vinea! P.S. No I don't work there, I'm not related too or know anyone who does, I'm not paid for posting this and have no ties to Wyndham.Walkability: Close to grocery store which serves all kinds of food while they're open. A slightly longer walk to shops and restaurants but easily doable.”

“Great room, king with sofa bed. Arrangement of room could be better. TV centered for bed and should be centered for bed and sofa bed as room is listed ‘sleeps 4’. A simple rearrangement of TV and wooden closet would provide a much better stay. Correcting the website amenities would be helpful or at least bringing them up to date. Possibly explaining the Lodge and Inn difference would be helpful.Nearby activities: Healdsburg Plaza was nice though upscale. Seghesio winery was excellent, tasting and buying a great wine. A Simple Touch spa was great for a massage. Cousteau Bakery was a delight for lunch of Monte Cristina sandwich and Noel of French Onion Soup and goodies to take home. The Wurst for dinner was a great place to enjoy Burgers and Sausages.”
