“We visited on 7/10/23, looking for a length of flexible spa hose to finish setting up a hot tub in our backyard. We had already gone to one Home Depot and had issues. We located the hose in question, but wanted to buy per-foot, rather than an entire roll of hose. This was something they had a SKU for, but they didn't have 8 feet of loose tubing for us. Eventually, we took the roll up to check out and explained the situation to Sylvia. Other places might insist that we buy the entire roll. Instead, she stuck with us, and found Jose, who could do the cutting we needed.Thank you to Sylvia and Jose for going above and beyond in order to make it work. It took a little while to get the right people, but they didn't abandon us, and they made sure to keep with it until we had resolution.”
“I stumbled upon this shop while walking around Albany and was immediately drawn in by the Tagalog sign out front. The owner, Dom, greeted us warmly and invited us inside—even though it was past closing—which already says so much about the spirit of this place.
The moment I stepped in, I felt a sense of connection and calm. The space feels like a sanctuary—thoughtfully arranged, full of warmth, and deeply welcoming—with traces of Dom’s anitos and pamilya. The plant selection is incredible, with rare varieties, pet-friendly sections, and beautifully curated displays. The repotting space shows a commitment and mindfulness towards the customer and living plant being. (I only wish I could bring some of them back to Tucson!) Dom’s bunnies were the sweetest surprise, too.
Most of all, Dom herself makes the shop what it is. Her kindness and heart are felt in every corner. This is more than a plant shop—it’s a space of care, community, and joy.
If you’re in Albany, don’t miss it. Truly a gem.”
“Came in for a kitchen knife, they were super helpful and showed me everything in my price range and explained pros/cons of each one. Definitely great customer service and will 100% be coming back”
“We "toured" all the refill stores around the east bay, and this is the one we've settled on as our favorite. The owner is almost always there and she is very knowledgable and helpful about all the products she carries. I'm hesitant to spread the word about the bulk Seka olive oil she carries lest there's a run on it and she has trouble keeping it in stock, but this olive oil is GREAT and at $0.60/ounce is a great deal. (You can bring your own bottle, or she has both new bottles for sale AND used bottles that she has cleaned that you can have for free). Lots of cleaning products in bulk of course, along with all sorts of products for cleaning, cooking and personal hygiene. Sweet little shop worth visiting AND adjacent to so many great spots -- Cheeseboard, Masse's and Epicurious Garden among them!”
“Best secret garden/shop in Richmond hands down! Community favorite, employee owned and they consistently provide high quality hard to find plants along with natives and traditional varieties for all needs. This location is a microcosm of plant diversity and a huge community building nexus in the Bay Area.”
“Wonderful selection of quality plants with excellent service from friendly and knowledgeable experts. Flowerland offers a concierge experience with professionals who know their stuff and are willing to consult and offer valuable tips. Big box stores cannot match this, assuming you can even find someone willing to help. And if you do, they don’t know their perennials from the their anals ?. Flowerland prices are competitive and the atmosphere is unrivaled. Special shout to Maureen and Olivia who truly cared about our needs. As a result we left with $800 worth of plants and will be purchasing an orange tree next. As added bonus, High Wire offers excellent coffee, beans and pastries on-site in a zen garden setting. This is a special destination which deserves a visit and your business. Don’t forget to peruse the gift shop!”
“Really appreciate that they have the source county for many of their plants, it's rare to get that kind of information! So, you can get some hyper-local stuff! Helpful staff, good selection. Happy to have them around!”
“super knowledgeable and friendly staff, and it's a worker owned co-op! the plants are very well taken care of. they also sometimes have pop up booths with interesting samples and tidbits.”
“Had a wonderful time at the farm. The people here interact friendly and provide great tasting tour and care a lot on their produce . We visited on a cloudy day, and yet there were helpful and assisted with picking greens and lemons during rain. Great spot for farm outing.”

“Having Delano provide Our Business with such fine materials and containers, gorgeous healthy blooming plants, cute, traditional basket gardens, trendy new 'Instagram' tropicals and lush full green plants keeps our customers happy and returning for more. Side by side, my customers will choose Delano plants over their competitors. Blooming plants are beautiful Now, today for the event I need them for...not waiting for them to be showy for later when the event is over. And then my customers tell me that their plant is still happy and thriving. Great Customer Service means I am having a pleasant intelligent knowledgeable staff member handle my needs, even when it's early morning. Thank you everyone at Delano, for being there when I need You! OH, and their office staff has made sure that my pre-ordered special requests are at the SF Flower Market, waiting for me. Thanks!”
“Stop by when visiting Tilden or seeing the views from Grizzly Peak. Friendly knowledgeable staff, helpful signs on plants, healthy looking plants. Found the best crop of 1 gallon Dutchman pipevines”
“The sweet lady with the glasses is always super helpful and kind. I was buying fabric there last week and the computer was having issues so it took some time to get me rung up. She discounted my items and if it wasn't for her customer service I would have not returned to shop there”

“Very nice lady(Alex is her name) and very informative and knowledgeable about her plants.?She was stern about some of her rules of not walking past the beige trashcan but it is her house and her business so keep that in mind hahaShe has a very good variety of cool plants and very very good prices but also keep in mind her hours of operation.I got several cuttings from her larger mother plants of euphoria and some bridgesii and haworthia. She goes out of her way to make sure everything is properly labeled with the scientific name which was awesome. She was wearing a mask the entire time I was there and was overall a good experience to me.Not sure of the negative reviews but they mostly seemed around people expecting this to be a large nursery which it's not, it's her house which I personally find cool to see people like her running a small business from.Besides the street parking it's a cool stop that anyone who likes cacti and succulents should check out. ?”
“It was a typical Home Depot. But they had a really good selection of indoor plants. I was looking for a plant gift for a Hotel Lobby I stayed at. The lady at quick check out was very nice. Very busy, but got in and out very quick.”

“My word! Where would we be without our best DIY partner, Home Depot? Life is so much easier with their help. All I can say is thank you, Home Depot. They have all you need!”
