“I have a 2018 Audi Q5 that I rarely drive and for a while, my regular services were covered under an existing service plan at the Audi dealership so I was shielded from the true cost. About a year ago, after my service plan expired I took my car in for an oil change to the Audi dealership and they said I was also due for a 90,000 mile service when my car had only 20,000 miles, and they were going to charge me $2,200. I balked and told them to just do the oil change and so the charge was $340.
About a year later I had to get my oil changed again and I had an alert maintenance was due so I tried G Imports for the first time. They did a full inspection and said everything looked in great shape and because I drive the car so infrequently, Graham said I just needed the oil change and none of the time-based service fixes. They charged me 2/3 the cost (~$200) that the Audi dealership charged for the oil change and said they probably don’t need to see me for another year or so. G Imports is so honest and actually looks at the car instead of trying to fleece you like the service shops at the dealerships.
Today, I stopped by G Imports because I had a smog check issue where my monitors weren’t resetting. They took me in a quick walk in and I was on my way in 10 minutes with everything fixed.

“Ok, let’s balance up some of these so-so reviews with some hard facts.Dr Vasken has more experience and general engineering knowledge on the elderly Mercedes SLK models than several other local main dealers I have tried. He fixed a problem on my 320 SLK which had stumped two main dealers and the various internet chat rooms. And his understanding and interpretation on the car’s computer codes got the car through its smog checks when the testers said it clearly needed new cats ( five times the price of Dr V’s minor parts and filters) . He has looked after that 320 ( and my 230 before it) as if it were his own . I would never go anywhere else for Mercedes servicing.”

A direct graduate of the Vasek Polack school of german automotive service, Bob did it right. I know he's been thinking of retirement, and selfishly hope he decides otherwise.”

“I don't come here anymore because I have a modern day Van that is perfect and never needs any attention. But my old vintage van and a jeep I had in the past sure did.
I've only met two honest mechanics in my entire life. One back in my old hometown, different state. Family friend mechanic. The other is these guys at Hermosa automotive. Ron is the owner, Pete is my man I used to work with a lot. Whenever the old GMC had an issue, and there were plenty, this is the only place I was willing to take it. Prices are largely what you would expect, keep in mind this is an expensive area. You get what you pay for. If you expect cheap, hire cheap, you get cheap. Honesty and good work is more important. Every single experience I had at Hermosa automotive was good. Build kind of a relationship with the guys. Solid work. Trustworthy.”

“I bought a 2013 911 Carrera S from John at Casey's Cars. A very fair price on my dream car. The entire interaction was low stress, professional and courteous. John was made the purchase carefree, despite the numerous difficulties of buying in it in CA and shipping it to Ohio. He found a better loan rate than the lowest I could find and shipping cost below market. It was shipped early with no problems. He even came into work early, a week AFTER the sale to send some additional paperwork because the title office in Ohio was being a pain. I will call John in couple years when I'm ready for a GT3!”
