“Building Blocks Christian Academy has been a gift to our family. Our daughter started at age 3 speaking very little English and made remarkable progress within a year. She literally jumps into school every morning, which says everything about how safe and loved she feels. The teachers are incredibly kind and attentive to details; they even thoughtfully labeled her painting with the date and a little note! The pedagogy is playful, creative, and balanced—language, social-emotional learning, arts, outdoor play, and curiosity-driven projects. Communication with parents is clear and caring. “Review for The Academy at Manhattan Beach: Bright Horizons
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Bright Horizons in Manhattan Beach! My son attended from ages 2 to 4, and he absolutely thrived there. The teachers are incredibly caring, patient, and truly invested in each child’s growth. Every day, he came home excited to tell me about the fun activities, songs, and lessons he learned. The environment is warm, welcoming, and feels like an extension of home.
Now, my daughter has been attending, and we have been just as happy with her experience. The only reason we are leaving is that they don’t offer infant care for our youngest, and it’s simply easier for our family to have both children at the same school. Otherwise, we would stay in a heartbeat!
On top of the amazing teachers, the center director and staff are absolutely fantastic—always helpful, communicative, and going above and beyond to make sure families feel supported.
If you’re looking for a nurturing, engaging, and loving daycare, I highly recommend The Academy in Manhattan Beach. We are so grateful for the amazing foundation they’ve given our children! We will truly miss them!”

“Fusion Academy Manhattan Beach has been an amazing experience for our son. He is a smart and hard working kid but for some reason a large public high school didn't work for him so he switched to Fusion Academy Manhattan Beach in his Sophomore year of high school and is now in his junior year. There are so many positives to share. The one-on-one teaching is excellent. The quality of the teachers is very high but my son is also understanding the school work so much more as he is able to ask questions right away but at the same time there is no place to hide in the class. The teachers are also very supportive, they want you to understand the work and it feels more like a partnership. There are also more course options available, which given my sons interest in computing, he has been able to take classes like Cybersecurity in addition to the usual AP computer classes, and is planning on taking Animation in his final year. The school is also very flexible as there has been times he has had to move classes around or reschedule classes due to things like illness, and it has been very easy to do that. What we have really learned as a family is that there are many school options available to your kids, and if you find the right one, like we have for our son, it can really change them in a positive way.”

“My family has a toddler at St. Abraams who’s been there since infancy. We were referred by some friends who had great things to say and then found out a coworker had also sent their kids there and also thought highly of it. The staff are loving and care for the kids. It also has pretty long hours. We sent our first two to another place but had to change due to distance and have been pretty happy here as well.”

“I couldn't imagine a better preschool for our children. Tracie, consistently creates fun, educational activities that make learning through play a joy. She goes above and beyond, often organizing special events like petting zoos, bubble machines, gardening in the vegetable garden, cooking, yoga, and music classes, along with hosting special activities around holidays. My 4-year-old daughter, who has been here for two years, often tells me, "Miss Tracie already taught me that!" Enrolling my 4-month-old son in the infant room with Emilie and Maritza was made easy knowing he would be in a loving and nurturing environment. “Savoir Faire has been an excellent preschool for our kids. The teachers are patient, creative, and supportive. The students learn the languages surprisingly well.Our kids have split their time between the French and Spanish classes. Madame Fanny in the French class feels like an extra grandparent for our kids because they have come to bond with her. She is incredible with the kids and has helped me improve my French as well. The Spanish teachers of Patty, Patricia, Jocelyn, Nancy, and others have also been truly wonderful. We love Savoir Faire.”

Principal Hunsberger and the staff really care about the students and their families. “So many of our friends’ children attended Beach Cities Montessori, so when our oldest was ready to transition from a toddler program into preschool, we toured several schools. From the very first visit, Beach Cities Montessori just felt different. Every single person — from the teachers and staff to the security guard — made us feel safe, welcomed, and truly at home.
We are now heading into our second year at the school, and it has become more like a family than anything else. Our son is excited to go to school each day. He comes home proud of what he has learned and often tells us he had “the best day ever.” Watching his confidence, independence, and love of learning grow has been incredible.
