Family Dollar is a neighborhood store with low prices on a wide assortment of items. It offers cleaning supplies, discount groceries, seasonal items, toys, kitchen essentials, laundry supplies, and food and beverages like milk, eggs, and bread. Shoppers can use the Family Dollar app and clip Smart Coupons for even greater savings. The store is well stocked and the employees are kind and do a good job, especially considering their circumstances. However, the store is not reliable. Customers never really know which days it will be opened or closed, with the store sometimes not opening at its posted time. This is often due to being short staffed. When open, there are frequent issues. Usually only one register is working at a time, and the machine is often down around lunch time. The aisles can also be blocked by boxes of merchandise that need to be put away. Despite these operational problems, the store is close by for many and has great prices.
