When I was pregnant I’d drink these and feel all fancy. Can’t wait to come back and try some of their alcohol free spirits. You really don’t need to be sober to enjoy these fine spirits. “Really hard to say anything bad about the place. I go in for lunch and grab a cheese or two about once a week since moving to the neighborhood. Can be a little crazy on weekends, but if you make it in during a weekday the staff have great suggestions.

“I am a long time regular patron of Jason's Wines & Spirits (now called Silver Lake Liquors). It's a very good place and a convenient location. But they currently have a terrible customer service problem. That woman who runs the place is just awful. She really makes it plain that she cannot stand most of the patrons who USED to frequent the store. (Business has really dropped off). Now it's to the point that I’m willing to take my business to Mikron’s or Big Mac”s rather than have to deal with that woman. Something needs to be done!!”

“I stopped by this store after attending Smorgasburg LA. I won't lie, I was enticed by the free wine tasting sign outside. However once I walked in, it was a very nice store with so many different types of wine that I've never heard of. It was a very inviting store with great customer service. They were not pushy and were very open to explaining the different types of wine. For a dedicated wine store, the price was on par with what you would expect. This is definitely a store that I will be returning to. I want to expand my wine knowledge and tastes.”
“I was looking for a wine store around my office and I found this place. Went in the store and Bernard was such a wonderful person. He helped me and suggested a good wine for gift. Affordable and elegant wines. I bought 4 red wines. He even prepared it for me and walked me in the office to carry it all. I will definitely come back here to buy more wines/ spirits. “This might be one of the bougiest liquor stores I’ve ever seen.
If you have expensive taste in booze,
You will probably find what you want here.
They seem to focus on wine and spirits, hence their name , but I found some great craft beer options too.
They also appear to host tasting events, where folks can come up and sit around a bar to enjoy some liquid delights. I haven’t attended one, but I did see people hanging out there when I came by to pick up some brews.”
“If you are in LA and after some proper good wines then this place is for you. I bought a 60 dollar St Emilion bottle and was not disappointed. The shop is neat and spacious and the staff amicable. Will defo return there”
“Can't go wrong here. Excellent selection of hard-to-get cocktail fixings, cordials, and digestifs. Extensive selection of all liquor types. Good beer choices. I think you can get a keg here too. Prices are abt 3-4 dollars (at least) cheaper than regular stores.
What this place brings to the table is staff who know their product. Try to get that at the chain discount liquor stores”
“Great spot but kind of hidden! Happy hour all day with $3 draft Stella and $5 Craft beer. I was ordering from Mendocino Farms when I saw this place. You can bring outside food if you order a beer or order anything from the store. You can't beat the happy hour price in DTLA. The staff is super nice too! Happy Friday indeed. (The store is in the cal plaza, lower level, underneath the Omni hotel, next to Mendocino Farms)”

“We have lived here since 1970. It's Oscar night so I commented that I needed to get back to the Oscars. He said that they were a joke . Always have had great people running Ambrose. Tonight I went in and commented that my ex husband loved soccer which was on the tv. The rude guy behind the counter said he must have liked really cheap wine. " like 3.99 a bottle huh ?!" obviously he was not a fan of Argentine people!!! I said he was being rude , and he suggested that I complain to Ryan ( I don't know if Ryan is the owner or mgr. ) WTF ! Now I will check to see if this jerk is working before I walk in the door.”
“This Market an amazing jewel of the community. The husband & wife/owners are always helping small vendors by directly carrying their products &/or by allowing them to do pop-up's outside the market. They carry locally crafted organic chorizo, longaniza, organic blue corn & flour tortillas, salsas & a bunch of other goodies. God bless these people for everything they do to make our community better”
“What sweet and helpful staff. They are always nice and ready to help with what we need. This grocer has the basics you need for the neighborhood and an extended liquor selection for anyone. In addition to the basic grocery needs and wide liquor selection, there is an actual butcher! The shop is clean and there is ample easy parking. In the parking lot you can also find a recycle exchange to get your deposits back. I’m not sure what the recycle hours are but the grocer hours are nice and late. What a great asset to have in the neighborhood.”

“I absolutely love all the changes happening at your store, what a transformation! Everything looks fantastic. I was a little disoriented at first trying to find where things were, but I can see now how well it all came together. The staff has been consistently helpful, which I really appreciate.
My only disappointment is not seeing my go to person, Mandana. She was always incredible. When I asked about her, I was told she now manages the back of the house. She did come out to assist me, which I appreciated, but it made me a bit sad not to see her out on the floor with the customers.
That said, great job on all the improvements!”
