“It’s less a wine store and more a destination. For wine nerds, this is THE place to find exactly what you’re looking for, even if it’s super obscure. Not only the best wine store I’ve found in LA, but perhaps in the whole US. Oh, and their tasting cave that allows you to pay per pour is NEXT LEVEL.”
“Great spot but kind of hidden! Happy hour all day with $3 draft Stella and $5 Craft beer. I was ordering from Mendocino Farms when I saw this place. You can bring outside food if you order a beer or order anything from the store. You can't beat the happy hour price in DTLA. The staff is super nice too! Happy Friday indeed. (The store is in the cal plaza, lower level, underneath the Omni hotel, next to Mendocino Farms)”
“The people at this shop just made my night. I came in looking for a gift and was immediately helped and guided to a decision - a perfect choice for the occasion. Then I was offered a complimentary gift bag and card for the bottle, which upped my gifting game. On top of it all, I needed birthday candles and although they didn't sell them, they offered me their personal stash and saved my day as I was already running late to the party. I left with a big smile on my face and have found my go-to wine and spirit shop!”
“A fun small local wine shop with full of affordable selections. It is hard to pick one as they are all unique. Many of them are under $30, often already aged and ready to drink. But there are also other wines for nicer occasions. You probably don’t see them elsewhere, at least within LA.
James is welcoming, very knowledgeable and helpful to customers. It is very nice to hear what they care about wine quality and how they source them. James can probably tell stories for each wine at the shop!
Basically, you can just trust and get whatever at the shop lol”
“This Market an amazing jewel of the community. The husband & wife/owners are always helping small vendors by directly carrying their products &/or by allowing them to do pop-up's outside the market. They carry locally crafted organic chorizo, longaniza, organic blue corn & flour tortillas, salsas & a bunch of other goodies. God bless these people for everything they do to make our community better”

“Absolutely love this little cheese shop, it’s one of those places you walk into and instantly feel welcomed. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely helpful, whether you’re building a cheese board, picking a bottle of wine, or just curious to try something new.
What surprised me most is that they have so much more than great cheese and wine, specialty snacks, pantry finds, unique gifts, and fun little discoveries you don’t see everywhere. It feels curated with care, not just stocked.
Such a charming neighborhood gem — warm atmosphere, amazing selection, and a team that truly cares about what they do. Highly recommend stopping in!”

“Shoutout to Edwin and Mikey who always picks the most delicious wines for us! They are both super knowledgeable on all of the wines they sell and they are spot on with their recommendations. Love the aesthetic of this shop and always impressed with their selection. This is our go to bottle shop!
My wife and I love their wednesday wine tastings and we always have a grand time. the 4 wines available for tasting are consistently excellent and unique. $20 for a tasting and they sometimes add in a bonus wine at the end. Mikey leads the tastings and he’s super knowledgeable on what they serve and provides insightful info about all the wines on the menu.
We also order pizza from triple beam during the tastings which is delivered to us at HPW. super fun and highly recommend! it gets busy on wednesdays, but there’s plenty of standing room and it’s a great neighborhood vibe all around. we love this spot!”
