She had the arrangement prepared and delivered to my daughter in under two hours of my call. She sent me text message pictures of the flowers, when the delivery person left and when they were delivered. My daughter LOVED her bouquet, so did I. “I love buying my little plants from here. I also love supporting a great small business in my area. It is very charming. There is no parking lot but I usually have no problem parking on the street. If you want coffee order it first, and then walk around. The coffee cart can get busy and I've waited like a half hour for my order before.”

“I really love this store, and especially this particular location. Every mint plant I’ve purchased here has been incredibly healthy and thriving.
I also want to highlight Elke, the Sales Professional and Owner at Armstrong Garden Centers. She is truly exceptional. English is my second language, but she listened carefully and understood me perfectly. She even found the apple mint I was looking for—and it was in amazing condition.
I completely trust her judgment, and I could tell she genuinely enjoys her work. Because of her kindness and professionalism, I know I will keep coming back to this location many times.

“I was at a large orange hardware store and wanting to purchase sod, though they had a small 12x12 square for 13 bucks!! I called Avalon Nursery, they can pre-order sod, but they have to have a few pre-orders, which is fine. Sod is expensive and doesn't have a lengthy shelf life. Anyhow, She had another customer who was wanting it, she will have it this weekend. This is a family owned and ran business. So why not make my purchase from a family owned business. I will also be picking up a few trees and citronella bushes. If they don't have it, ask, they might be able to get it. Thank you Avalon Nursery.”

Service was friendly and quick all around, and special shout-out to Kirby who helped me select a pot, transplanted the Agave, (they only transplant on weekdays, don't ask for that on weekends), and made the entire transaction a total pleasure. “Very Lovely nursery. Well organized. Really a treat to walk through. I would pay a cover charge to hang out here. Succulent collection as good as can be found within this much area. Largely outdoors thanks to the generous weather of Los Angeles. Also has good selection of soils, pots, vessels, Redwood baskets, wood, tools, many things needed for your home garden or yard . Densly packed place pretty well organized!!”

“I work next door to the nursery and I had a plant emergency lol. I had accidently knocked over my co-worker plant pot and completely broke it. Lucky for me all I had to do was walk across the street to the nursey and had Randy help me out and he was able to sell me a new pot and replant my co-workers plant! And I couldn't be so happy and he was a such a chill guy and was so nice and patience with my situation. I will go back if I have any dilemmas and need any plants or plant pots in the future.”
“Overall I come here very often for materials for my projects. Everyone has always been helpful. Parking is a bit of a struggle with a truck due to tight size. Overall everyone is nice. Looking at other reviews that are negative I have never felt mistreated here. Prices are a bit hire for some things like lumber. But you are in middle of the city. To be honest I could drive further to get my lumber or tools but sometimes it is just convenient.”

“What a cool spot to host an event, aesthetic-wise (not sure financially if it's a good price lol)! I was here to attend a wellness event and I was impressed with the size of the spot and the varied options indoors and outdoors for whatever you need to host.
Inside, there was enough room for a stage for speakers, a little backstage area for the speakers to congregate, counter space to serve food and drinks, space to sell merchandise, and an almost enclosed space for a separate session. Outdoors, there was seating for meals and open grassy and first space with tents for any outdoor programming.
The event organizers rented some fancy outdoor temporary restrooms, so I'm unsure if Rolling Greens has restrooms at all or if they had restrooms, but it wasn't sufficient for our large gathering.
I saw there was also parking available inside the gates that you can close, though for the event I attended, the parking spots were not utilized and we had to take the drawn parking spots outside, find street parking (which wasn't too bad), or do valet.”
“Cool people who were friendly, knew their stuff, and have sold me some nice cacti that I stil have till this day. Mostly importantly, the prices were slightly cheaper than most places so do recommend :)”

I wasn’t sure what to buy, so I shared a photo with a few staff members, and they were incredibly helpful in guiding me to the right materials. The whole shopping trip was quick and easy.
