“Hands down, Little John’s toffee shop is the hidden gem of The Grove Farmers Market. I stopped by on a drizzly afternoon, and even in the rain, the setup was perfect — just enough shade by the counter to stay dry while sampling their incredible selection. Everything is always fresh, made in small batches right there, and you can taste the difference immediately.
I ended up buying way more than planned (no regrets!). Their toffee is unlike anything else I’ve tried — not hard or tooth-breaking like the typical stuff. The moment you bite in, it crumbles beautifully, releasing rich, buttery flavor with the perfect balance of sweetness and crunch. It’s addictive in the best way.
I packed a whole lunch bag’s worth to bring to family on the East Coast for the holidays, and it traveled like a dream — still fresh and crumbly upon arrival. It got demolished in minutes and immediately they asked where to get more.

“They came through with a custom pinata request in a clutch. I have a disco themed birthday party planned in 4 days and came into their store yesterday and asked if they had a disco ball pinata on hand. They didn't, but they checked to see if they could get their hands on one by next Thursday in time for the event. They managed to get the pinata in a day.

“The only candy shop in the Grand Central Market.Plenty of sugary and non sugary confections. You can also find culturally traditional sweet treats as well. There is no self serve like many typical candy shop. Cost is relatively high but it is on par to what you would expect to pay in downtown. The attendant was rather friendly and patient during our visit. There plenty of candy to choose from.”

His patience and friendly attitude truly stood out. Even as other customers walked in, he still greeted everyone — something so simple yet so rare these days.
I complimented him several times because his customer service was exceptional. I even suggested he train others, because he genuinely understands what it means to deliver service that exceeds expectations. Anthony is a standout example of what great customer care looks like.”

I had my daughter I had my daughter she was excited to see everything in the store I let the owners know that it’s her birthday and they were so kind to get a cupcake with a candle and they sang happy birthday to her. Very sweet. The piñata is perfectly made as well.”

They have a large selection of others I haven’t tried but they do offer samples. They have a large selection of un-ground nuts as well.”

“This spot has the best Tasting filtered water and ice in the area. @ $1.75 for a 5 gallon bottle is unbeatable. They have snacks and offer CA lottery services too. The area is ok, parking might be an issue sometimes. They offer alkaline water also. They have carts to help you carry your gallons safely. The attendee is polite and has great customer service. Definitely check em out!”
