“I ended up checking out this gift shop while I had some time to kill, and it was actually pretty nice. They had a good mix of items, from funny little souvenirs to more thoughtful gifts that didn't feel overpriced. The staff gave me a quick hello but didn't hover around, which I appreciated. I found a couple of things I wasn't even looking for. The place felt clean and easy to browse, and overall it was a pleasant experience. I'd probably come back when I need a last-minute gift.”

“If you're visiting Barrio Logan and you don't stop at Casa XoVi you're missing out. I'm down in the area a few times a year and I NEVER MISS IT.The owner is fabulous. Such a wonderful woman and authentic. She cares and will help you get just what you need and what you didn't even realize you needed. Perfect spot for gifts also. The home made delicacies.... I stock up when I'm there.Try it all. You will thank me!I confess that I love the area but a lot of the shops are all selling identical things now and that is why I love Casa XoVi it is still unique.Art, Yummies, decor, gifts, and some of the classic items. Take a basket and let her fill it up and you will have a gift no one will forget.Go early for the best parking. I suggest comfy shoes and park a little ways off as it is more fun walking than fighting for parking. “I stopped into this shop on a Monday and came back again on Tuesday — that’s how great it was! The girls working were so friendly and helpful, they really made me feel welcome. Out of all the souvenir shops along the boardwalk, this was by far the best. They have the perfect amount of selection — not too packed or cluttered — just a really nice variety of items. “I stumbled upon La Beks at the Harney Street Market in Old Town San Diego this weekend, and I’m so glad I did! Since I was walking with my pup, their pet-inspired merch immediately caught my eye. They have the cutest reversible bandanas, toys, and accessories...mostly Latin inspired. I ended up grabbing a tote bag that says 'Cafecito y mi perrito' (coffee & my dog), perfect for me! Beyond the cute stuff, the customer service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be swinging by their boutique on Logan Ave. next time I'm in town. They also have a website featuring their full collection.”

“We've stayed at this hotel 3 years in a row and our experience has been consistent. It's right in the heart of downtown S.D. so the location is great for doing the things one would like to do while visiting there. It's right across from Petco park. You can hop other green line train to go north or south. Then you can take that train to the Amtrak to travel further in Old Town. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance as well. The hotel itself always feels safe and clean. However there is a significant presence of unhoused people that seems to grow every year. But that hasn't been an issue for me I just stay aware. We did have a few small issues during our most recent stay. However the hotel dealt with everything swiftly and with kindness. Even the bellboy who helped us with our bags was helpful from the moment that we got there suggesting that he'd have extra towels sent up immediately.”

“5 stars for the very friendly service!!! I was walking through the Gaslamp District and the $10 sale rack outside the front door caught my eye. The lady working there saw me going through the rack and said there were more sale items inside. She also suggested I try them on because some of the sizes might not be accurate. It's a good thing I did, she was right. I did ending up buying a shirt, great deal and great service here!!!”

“I was in town with family and ended up checking out this souvenir shop before heading back home. The place had a nice mix of items instead of the same generic stuff you see everywhere. I found a couple magnets and a small gift for my niece that she actually got excited about. Prices seemed pretty fair and I didnt feel pushed into buying anything. The staff was friendly and gave us some suggestions when we asked about local themed items. Store felt clean and easy to walk around too. Def one of the better souvenir places I've been in lately.”
