“I give this place 5 stars although it’s not as fancy as some others, this place is very genuine and delicious! It’s a way to try British food and amazing tea! What I love about this place is they let you choose other teas to try! I love coming in the spring time since the seating is outside. Very lovely place”

“Just visited and purchased few items at this store. It is a small store, but not enough varieties of men's hats/caps. Its prices are pretty reasonable for visitors. A lady's name, Adela, who was working at the store, who seems kind & courteous, reminded me of paying cash will save 3.5% rather than paying with a credit card. That was a quick reminder although there was a sign on the cash counter which I didn't pay attention. I hope an owner whose name is Mr. Ronald Maikovich could have more varieties of men's hats/caps, etc.”

“A bright explosion of color and whimsy, Artlexia is a delightful gem nestled in the heart of North Park. Stepping inside instantly lifts your mood with its bursts of vivid hues and festive decor. The shop is a love letter to iconic artist Frida Kahlo, with a fantastic selection of memorabilia, prints, jewelry and more featuring her beautiful work. As a huge Frida fan, I was over the moon to find an entire section dedicated to the Mexican icon. From sticker packs and notebooks to coffee mugs and tote bags, they have an impressive array of Frida merchandise. The Frida shirts are especially cool - I'll be rocking my new one at the next Día de los Muertos festival! Beyond the excellent Frida selections, Artlexia has a wonderfully curated collection of Mexican folk art, pottery, textiles and crafts. The geometric patterns and bold colors of the Oaxacan animal carvings are stunning. You'll also find Day of the Dead and sugar skull themed items, as well as festive Lotera game boards and sets. The shop is such a bright, cheerful space to explore. Walking in truly feels like a mini vacation to Mexico with all the vivid colors and artistry. The warm hospitality and friendliness of the staff makes browsing even more enjoyable. Artlexia is a true North Park gem - I'll be back again and again!”

“AMAZING WORK by LOCAL FloristsI wanted to send a simple, same-day table arrangement to some friends in San Diego and Sage Sisters knocked it out of the park! They paired lots of local seasonal flowers into a well designed medium table arrangement - they even sent a photo before it was delivered to let me know what it looked like. The thoughtfulness, the careful craft, and personal touch is what will keep me going back to them for years to come. Not to mention a great price point. 10/10 recommend!”

“I love OB Gift Shop. I take friends and family here whenever they're in town so they can get all the SD stuff they need and ideally represent OB too! What you may not know - they always have unique finds. A killer assortment of knicknacks, magnets, bottle openers, stone/gem crafts, and much more, as well as tshirts, sweats, hats, shorts, sunblock, boogie boards etc. But this time my mom wanted a tshirt with a minimal SD logo on the top left, and nothing in stock quite fit that description. So they offered to just make one for her on the spot!! She chose her favorite color and tshirt size, and they put her preferred logo on there. It took 2 minutes! Unbelievable. I had to write a review for that level of above and beyond service. No one at CVS or target is going to hook you up with a custom tshirt. This is the spot.Support local business! Especially this OB gem. You won't regret it.”

“I had lunch in Old Town and came across Old Town Jerky and Root Beer. I had to go inside as I love root beer. Inside was a huge selection of root beer and other drinks in glass bottles. Reminds me of when I was a kid and most drinks were in glass bottles and you could return them for a dime. Most of the drinks were $4 each. Surf City Root Beer had a good amount of sweetness and carbonation. I liked the vanilla and sassafras flavor. There is a bite a little like Barq's. Very good tasting root beer. River City Root Beer had lots of bubbles and sweet licorice flavor. Very good. Oak Creek Blonde Barrel Aged Root Beer was the first root beer I've come across that looks like a cream soda. Flavors include caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, and clove. Love the combination of flavors. This is my favorite root beer here. Boulder Birch Beer was sweet with a mix of vanilla and wintergreen flavor. One of my favorite birch beers. If you are a soda lover and prefer your drink in a glass bottle Old Town Jerky and Root Beer is an awesome place to get a drink.”

“If you're visiting Barrio Logan and you don't stop at Casa XoVi you're missing out. I'm down in the area a few times a year and I NEVER MISS IT.The owner is fabulous. Such a wonderful woman and authentic. She cares and will help you get just what you need and what you didn't even realize you needed. Perfect spot for gifts also. The home made delicacies.... I stock up when I'm there.Try it all. You will thank me!I confess that I love the area but a lot of the shops are all selling identical things now and that is why I love Casa XoVi it is still unique.Art, Yummies, decor, gifts, and some of the classic items. Take a basket and let her fill it up and you will have a gift no one will forget.Go early for the best parking. I suggest comfy shoes and park a little ways off as it is more fun walking than fighting for parking. If you're close enough UBER.I feel this ship is a cultural explosion of quality and beautiful products. That with the warm and welcoming environment is pure love. ENJOY..I can't wait to return ?♥️”

“A Tranquil Haven for Succulent Enthusiasts: A Review of PigmentNestled within a chic succulent-filled space, Pigment exudes an aura of serenity and relaxation, making it a must-visit destination for succulent aficionados. Despite its slightly higher price point, the experience offered by this establishment is well worth the investment, boasting a serene environment and an impressive selection of succulents, sand, moss, dried flowers, and more. Our serendipitous discovery of this oasis occurred after a satisfying meal at Shake Shack, and we were immediately captivated by the tranquil ambiance upon stepping inside. The customer service surpassed all expectations, with the staff offering invaluable guidance, advice, and assistance throughout the process of selecting and creating our succulent scene. Their attentiveness and helpfulness contributed significantly to our enjoyable experience. The act of creating our own succulent masterpiece was a delight, and we proudly display it on a shelf in our living room, serving as a constant reminder of our memorable visit to Pigment. While I may not frequent Pigment as often as I'd like due to my thrifty nature and penchant for acquiring succulents from neighbors for free, I am certain that I will return to explore more of their offerings. In particular, I am eager to visit their location in Liberty Station to see if it captures the same tranquil atmosphere and offers a similar array of selections. In conclusion, Pigment stands as a tranquil haven for succulent enthusiasts seeking a unique and enjoyable shopping experience. With its serene ambiance, exceptional customer service, and impressive selection, it's a destination worth revisiting time and time again.”

“Another great gift store at SeaWorld in San Diego! This one is hard to miss with the cool contrasting colored designs on and around the building. Inside you'll find trinkets and little things that make for a great souvenir for a friend or family member. It didn't seem to be too crowded when I was there. I'm not sure if that is the norm though? Definitely some cute things at this gift shop! :)”

“This is a must go place among many other attractions in San Diego. In fact, it got to be in the top 10 list for being such a splendid and magnificent architecture in the heart of San Diego, offering a place for book lovers, knowledge seekers etc. There are multiple levels with a huge collection of books, computers, secluded areas to focus on one's work and beautiful views of the beautiful city. There is also an auditorium for various types of events adjacent to a small open area. Parking is nothing to worry about. Come, park and enjoy this luxury.”

“What a great boutique store (San Diego location) with friendly and attentive service. And, they sell Hammitt purses which I have been looking for everywhere. Steph helped me make the very difficult decisions on picking from the large variety of Hammitt purses and beautiful, original jewelry from around the world. I ended up going back later in the day to buy a second purse from Beau, the owner, who was also very friendly and helpful. The store also has custom art pieces great for decorating your home, clothing, fun gift items, and much more. I don't live in the area, but I will be sure to stop by in all my future visits to San Diego.”

“This review is actually for the upstairs outdoor area - which features monthly Sunday Latin social dancing. Use the stairs by the Plunge. There is an indoor (wooden) dance floor but most people prefer to be outside on the tile. There is also a bar set up - and a plastic dome (for who or what?). Restrooms are downstairs by the arcade. Being upstairs provides a bit of a view - in almost all directions. It's a very nice atmosphere in which to dance (or enjoy any social event). Come check it out.”
