“I ended up checking out this gift shop while I had some time to kill, and it was actually pretty nice. They had a good mix of items, from funny little souvenirs to more thoughtful gifts that didn't feel overpriced. The staff gave me a quick hello but didn't hover around, which I appreciated. I found a couple of things I wasn't even looking for. The place felt clean and easy to browse, and overall it was a pleasant experience. I'd probably come back when I need a last-minute gift.”

“We were looking for an “oddity” shop, and came across Vervor! The shop is small but FILLED with very unique and authentic art pieces from local artists. The shop owner was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the items in the store and even gave us recommendations for local restaurants (which were fantastic - The Joint was a favorite)! Highly recommend visiting! :)”

“Went into this place twice and the gentleman working was so welcoming and offered assistance, shared with me how I can make a shirt or hoodie. As I had one made, I continually decided on another and another🤣 he was so patient in assisting me and talking to my friend about where we were from etc. He even gave me a free bag and picture❤ This was the friendliest shop I have been to all week and amazing prices!”

“Just found out physical store is closed however, u can order online. But the experience of coming into this establishmentLiving in SD this was a treat for me. The ppl here were always so helpful & kind. Even after I moved out of state and my son might come and pick up the oils, incense, prayer beads, etc…for me they were always so welcoming. My daughter Hollie (Rip)introduced me to this shop in 1995. She wore the fragrance, Night Queen and our family still wears it until this day. Of course Egyptian Musk is a definite favorite as well.After the passing of the kind man YaYa, his beautiful family continued to keep shop going. I’m sorry to hear they now closed. They were a real blessing to us all and the community. And are very much missed.Peace & Blessings to the family & staff of Garden of Fragrance.I will be ordering online, however, it is not the same that’s for sure.”

“We popped in this store because of all the amazing wind chimes and shells displayed outside. Lots of gifts from Ocean Beach, but what I loved most was that a large majority of them were made of shells and seaglass. I chose a starfish ornament to take home and when I checked out, the cashier told me that all the starfish in that style were hand painted by someone in-store and that was pretty cool. We then bonded over Columbo and when we left. He was sure to tell us there was 'just one more thing...' Cool shop, kind people. Highly recommend!”

“We've stayed at this hotel 3 years in a row and our experience has been consistent. It's right in the heart of downtown S.D. so the location is great for doing the things one would like to do while visiting there. It's right across from Petco park. You can hop other green line train to go north or south. Then you can take that train to the Amtrak to travel further in Old Town. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance as well. The hotel itself always feels safe and clean. However there is a significant presence of unhoused people that seems to grow every year. But that hasn't been an issue for me I just stay aware. We did have a few small issues during our most recent stay. However the hotel dealt with everything swiftly and with kindness. Even the bellboy who helped us with our bags was helpful from the moment that we got there suggesting that he'd have extra towels sent up immediately.”

“My wife wanted to come to this shopping center area to go eat at Casa Guadalajara restaurant that is also here. I had to use the valet parking nearby since all the parking lot was already full. The restaurant had over an hour wait so we came to the shopping center to look at the stores. My wife was sad that most of the shops were already closed so she didn't have a chance to see what kind of things they had here but we'll try again the next time we're here. They don't have a lot of parking in the lot so you'll have to drive around to find a spot. My wife loved eating at the restaurant here though. “I stumbled upon La Beks at the Harney Street Market in Old Town San Diego this weekend, and I’m so glad I did! Since I was walking with my pup, their pet-inspired merch immediately caught my eye. They have the cutest reversible bandanas, toys, and accessories...mostly Latin inspired. I ended up grabbing a tote bag that says 'Cafecito y mi perrito' (coffee & my dog), perfect for me! Beyond the cute stuff, the customer service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be swinging by their boutique on Logan Ave. next time I'm in town. They also have a website featuring their full collection.”
