“Gonzalo and Michelle are so friendly and wonderful! I love how organized the store is, and how there are many items with the color tag of the week, rather than other stores where I see them take off the tags and u can’t even find any sales on the racks. I love it here, definitely my favorite Salvation Army in San Diego!”
“Love the organization on this thrifty store by size and color. I like they give opportunity to disable community to work, the cashier are very friendly all time and the store is clean Al time.”
“I love this store. It can be messy at times but its recently its been pretty great and I love searching for treasures. Still a better deal than Goodwill and Salvation.”

“I was so impressed with this Salvation Army from the staff to the selection. I love that there are two buildings one for clothing and shoes then the other for household items. I was blown away by the great clothing I found here and for an amazing price! I do wish the clothing was divided by size and not color but for the deals I found I will happy dig!
I can not wait to come back.”
“I am normally not a fan of goodwills as the prices have become crazy, no dressing rooms, or staff to check you out. This location is the first goodwill I have been to in several years that felt like the good old days. They had dressing rooms, great prices, and such friendly staff! I was floored by my experience here. Please keep it up, your store is a treasure to the community.
The young women checking me out was shocked to hear how bad the goodwills are in my area and other parts of the country. I hope the company does not ruin this location like so many around the country!”
“This was one of our first stops on Coronado Island and I loved our experience. I took my kids and my mom - we loved all the cute unique finds. Everything is very reasonably priced. I highly recommend stopping in and exploring this little shop for treasures.”
“I don't know if this place is actively serving the homeless anymore. I saw so many homeless out on the street I'm beginning to wonder. I came down to the community today to feed. And there were so many I didn't have enough food. I remember back in the day Saint Vincent De Paul used to feed hundreds of hundreds of people every day. But at this time of the day I didn't see any lines like you would normally see. I don't know if I missed it or what happened. I know Saint Vincent's was a help to me when I was on the streets over 20 years ago. Do they still do those same things? I have no idea because all I saw was a few people”
“i went there last saturday and the staff was so sweet, the main guy at the cashier was so welcoming and nice, greeting all the people who came in i dont know his name but someone give him a raise i swear i def will come back”
“Love the vibe of the store and love coming here every so often. Great finds and great deals! Highly recommend stopping by and just taking a look! Maybe you’ll find something interesting! ⭐️ Very nice customer service, friendly and welcoming environment, and always greets us as we walk in. Would rate higher if I could!”
“I go here from time to time. Sometimes I find good clothes & such, and sometimes I don’t. It’s a hit or miss, but honestly I just like wandering in here cause the place is big and I get some steps in.”
“Everyone was very kind and more than helpful with finding uniforms for anyone new to the Navy.
The deals were amazing. Full dress whites, khakis, NWU, kid toys, etc for less than $100. Incredible place”

“I liked the attention of the staff and in the store I found some things I was looking for but the strong point there are the auctions of various merchandise on pallets”
“So cheap with great finds! Christine is awesome . My toddler was crying and she let her pick out a stuffed animal to keep. Every time I go there, it’s a great experience.”
“Another Goodwill with amazing selection of books, clothing, household items, furniture and so much more.
Well organized and staged.
It would be worth the stop, you will find something.
The young lady at the counter was so nice to get approval from manager to take a small bag of cd too. Thank you for going the extra mile. I appreciate that.”
“I'm not A MONSTER CABLE RED AND WHITE TAG SHIELDED IT LOOKS LIKE A COMPLETELY FAMILIAR WITH THE CATALOG OF MONSTER CABLE BUT I AM FAMILIAR WITH IT I'VE NEVER SEEN THIS ONE I THINK THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE FIRST EDITIONS AND IT'S IT WOULD BE WORTH $100 IF IT WASN'T A FIRST EDITION SO I'M PRETTY HAPPY. ALSO 3 TRACHE KITS. AND GOT SCHOOLED ON SOME KNOWLEDGE.”
“The perfect thrift store experience. There are so many amazing vintage items, the owner is extremely friendly and fair, and there's a store cat !!! I'm absolutely coming back. A hidden gem of a place. :)”
“Employees are here to do their job, not to be nice or gentle with customers.
It is always nice to visit a Goodwill store to see what surprises are to be discovered. This is not the biggest store, but they have a lot of merchandise. Worth the visit. Good parking lot, no smiles and no restrooms for customers.”

“Amazing my sister bought some boots here for only 3$ and you can buy like designer items here but overall it’s amazing and I’ve been coming here and I love it it’s so cheap and amazing”
“I will always check the thrift before going to buy new uniforms and this store, luckily for me this store has come through with my sizes! The staff is always ready to help. All Sailors should come check this store out! ??”
“I recently went to the store and now it is more organized, there is a great variety of items at a very good price. Mr. Joaquín is very kind and attentive, and helped me find what I needed. I highly recommend this store. Visit it!”
“Awesome customer service! The store has a wide variety of unique collectible merchandise. The owner will tell you the history of any of their vintage items in detail. I bought some great 1980s vinyl records. Once again super-friendly customer service!”
“I am from New York. This was the cleanest and most organized Goodwill store I have been to!! You have some amazing staff running that store keeping it neat, color-coordinated, and tidy. 5 stars, for sure!”
“10:10 underground parking, otherwise a classic bins experience. I arrived early, spent a couple hours digging. A little different than LA in that they put out the big, deep boxes. Impossible to get to the bottom of. T-shirt boys abound, as usual. Staff were very friendly. Not the best neighbourhood, but I really enjoyed this one over any of the ones I've been to in LA. The first turnover was 10:30 & they opened at 8:30, so it's a slower pace for sure!”
“Great brands and styles. Authentic vintage. Great prices too! I got a vintage hollister skirt for $4 and they have so many other great vintage brands. Small shop but still left with 4 things. Almost 5.”

“As thrift stores go, Father Joe’s is very competitively priced, usually having better prices than Goodwill. Knowing sales go to ending homelessness in San Diego makes it that much easier to shop here.”
“I shop here often. I find good things in the housewares, particularly the glass section.
I had an experience last week where I went to buy some vases. The sticker said set of 4 but there were only 3. I took them to the cash register & explained. The manager said I can’t sell you 3 of the 4 & sent an employee to look in the shelves. They couldn’t find the 4th one either. I said, well, I’d like to buy these 3 anyway. And she repeated I can’t sell you 3 of the 4. So I asked “there are only 3. If you won’t sell 3 of the 4 & you only have 3, you will never let anyone buy these 3?” In the end she sold me the 3 for 3/4 the price listed. I understand not breaking up a set but when the set is incomplete on the shelf, I’m not sure why that had to be so difficult.”
