I purchased a used transmission and clutch kit and Julio and his got my car back ASAP. They start working on my car this past Monday and I got it back today Wednesday 9-23-26”

“Short version is they do great quality, clean and detailed work with fair prices, a rare combination in this day and age! I highly recommend Checkered Automotive Solutions for any work and plan to return for a bumper installation.I purchased a full suspension package for my truck and didn’t have the time or location to do it myself. Accutune Offroad gave me several recommended shops but Checkered was able to work with my limited schedule to install the suspension and align my truck the same day. Additionally he was able to pickup my suspension parts from AO and also retorque everything the day after installing it.I will absolutely be returning to Checkered Automotive Solutions for any future work that I don’t have the time to do myself, and know it was done well!”

“I had a fender bender, the bumper punctured a front tire and when it was being changed to the donut spare one lug nut stud broke. Before buying new tires I needed to get the stud fixed. Called several places in Imperial Beach, they either did not answer the phone or didn't return my call. The guys from Magic Tire recommended ASAP Smog because they do minor repairs and I'm glad I did. I was given an accurate estimate in time and cost. The stud was replaced so I was able to drive to Magic Tires and buy new ones. Great guys at ASAP, I will def be coming back for other minor repairs as well as oil changes and smog check.”

“We just got our daily driver back today. This is is the third transmission they have rebuilt for us. Never had any issues, they take pictures and videos of the necklaces progress. They go out of their way to explain everything.

Replaced, my girlfriend's Honda Civic 2018 air Conditioning Condenser that had a recall on it we were reimbursed by honda. Always uses OEM factory replacement parts does not get aftermarket parts on your vehicle. Brought my car in for spark plugs replacement car run's great. “I am writing this review a year after having my transmission rebuilt, I have had no problems what so ever since then. Quick turnaround when I brought it in, only took 3 days. Was the best price after calling all the transmission shops within a 30 mile radius and the best warranty (1 year unlimited miles), I dropped off the car and paid a deposit, I came back the next day to pay the rest and they showed me the disassembled transmission while pointing out the problem areas that were going to be replaced with the rebuild. Raul was very accommodating and responsive with any questions/concerns i had.”

I brought my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee in after getting wildly different recommendations and very expensive quotes from dealerships. From the first conversation, Albert stood out as honest, patient, and extremely communicative. He took the time to explain what actually needed to be done, what could wait, and why, without any pressure or upselling.
We decided to prioritize the repairs that mattered most: replacing the radiator (including coolant and the expansion tank), addressing a recurring check‑engine light with new NGK spark plugs and ignition coils, and replacing the PCV valve while everything was accessible. Albert walked me through the pricing before ordering parts, explained where cost savings made sense, and confirmed everything in advance.
What impressed me most was the speed and follow‑through. Parts were ordered and delivered the same day, and the work was completed exactly when promised. The Jeep runs noticeably smoother now, the check‑engine light is gone, and I have complete confidence in the work that was done.
