    “My daughter and I decided to stop into Ione Plaza Market while we were in Ione picking up Chinese food, and we are so glad we did! This place is truly a hidden gem. The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the market has such a nice local feel to it. We were pleasantly surprised to see they also have a deli, which makes it even better. It’s always great finding small local places with kind people and a warm atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back and look forward to stopping in again soon!”

    “I love my Walmart. The crew always ready to help and work very hard. I'm very bummed that management took the trash bins out. I'm sure somebody thought it would help but it doesn't. I had to wander around to throw away some packaging. Everything has too much plastic and cardboard to keep theft under control. I noticed someone else gave up and tossed their wrappings in the planter around a tree. Please put the trash cans back. Your crews are working hard enough to keep the parking lot clean.”

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
