This review is to acknowledge the excellent customer service provided by Michael. Yes, it took almost two hours to get my locked phone released by AT&T and to get my new phone set up with Cox, but Michael was very patient with us making the experience as painless as possible!

Michael was awesome!! Helped me set up my wifi start to finish. I started the process online and had my WiFi in my house up and running within 2 hours.

My name is Mariano, and I want to report an extremely poor experience at the Cox Store. The service is under my wife’s name, but I handled the entire process, including providing a signed authorization letter from her. As instructed over the phone by the representative named Sheila, I brought the authorization letter and presented her valid California ID. Even so, the employee identified as A.B. refused to give me the modem, despite the fact that I followed the instructions exactly as I was told.
Later, once the service was active, my wife was given a modem in unacceptable condition: an extremely old, worn-out, scratched, and visibly dirty device. The photos attached show the condition clearly. I can understand receiving an older model if there is no newer stock, but giving a customer equipment that is physically damaged and unhygienic is unacceptable for a company of Cox’s size.
The treatment we received at the store was negligent, unprofessional, and gave the strong impression of retaliation or bad faith after a prior disagreement with store staff. The manager identified as J.T. was present and did nothing to correct the situation or ensure we received equipment in minimally acceptable condition.
This was our first interaction with Cox after reactivating the service, and the experience was disappointing, improper, and entirely avoidable. I expect Cox to review this behavior and enforce proper customer service and equipment-handling standards.

What on earth happened? Everything I ever dreamed of happened to Cox. They are polite and helpful, they don’t charge and overcharge for their horrible equipment from the 80’s, they are fast. I can’t handle it. I have written letters about all these issues and more over the years and wow, they changed!

Stay away! Bad service, constant price hikes, no transparency. A terrible company and they don’t care. Just pay that bill.

Michael helped me as best as he could with the Cox systems. Michael was great, Cox is a monopoly in my area.
