“WOW, just WOW. Mesa Liquor is the little store that COULD! Not only do they have seemingly every possible kind of liquor you might ever need, but they also have some beautiful high-end, hard to find liquors like the sipping tequilas I've bought there this year.
BUT, a store with an astoundingly great inventory is nothing without staff that understands the product.
Rabi is THAT guy. A legit connoisseur who can guide you to discover some truly fine adult beverages. I love being able to talk to someone who has tasted some of the finest flavors and can speak––not from a sales point––but from the perspective of listening to and accurately and deciphering MY tastes.

“Just met the owners/family at the Santa Barbara Roar and Pour. By far the best table at the event and the friendliest! They also had the best wines out of everyone there. I will definitely be heading to there shop for more wine.”

“Always friendly, good place to pick up a quick drink or snack. There are always people coming and going. Very busy place. Usually plenty of parking, but sometimes the parking lot can get full. You just never know. I go here all the time for lottery tickets, and NO I haven't won!”

“Basic but convenient little store. They don't make 'em like this anymore. I know that Talevi's recently moved to the building next door from their prior location, but walking in is something of a time warp to a simpler era. It's very old school inside which I enjoy - but is kept very clean and organized. I've found Talevi's to have a good selection of booze, especially craft beer. I enjoy the beer area tucked away into a back corner of the shop. This place also has your standard snacks and merchandise as well, and I've never found their shelves to be empty or unorganized. The staff are all very friendly, especially the owner. Customer service at mom-n-pop convenience stores can be a hit or a miss, so it's rather refreshing to see that this place cares about the customer. It's reasons like this that make me want to come back here again.”

“The best gift shop ever in Goleta. Celebrating an anniversary with my girlfriend, I bought a can of candies and a bottle of honey, they offered me a free gift of chocolate and cookies, and also printed my girlfriend's name on the ribbon. The ribbon and the chocolate were free, and they are the nicest I have ever known. Strongly recommended for anyone who wants to get a gift for their important ones.”
“Decent place. A bit too many undercover cops lurking in the lot passing as pedestrians... Problem is they look so nervous... As green as you are.. lighten up u guys... And Y'all look the same deer in the headlights look of , "I'm just an ordinary bistandard" y'all got the same police edition headphones with a hedonistic dressing schedule too, And that makes macy's look like bloomingdales.. and your to chicken to look anybody in their eyes.. y'all stupid. “Excellent customer service. Claudia and the other super pretty girl are so polite and nice. Also there are a couple nice young gents. Everyone is polite and attentive. The car wash is a good deal too. But the self serve fresh ground coffee with refillable mug is a $1. Get the mug. Best cheap coffee in California. Only thing I would improve: Better fresh cream options (bagged milk dispenser maybe)? and if the car washes were $1-2 less I would get them more often. I like their build a 6 pack selection.”
“I have been walking here from my house in the neighborhood since I could walk; Westside Market has been a staple of the westside for decades. IMPORTANT INFO: THIS is THE only place to buy lighter fluid/butane in I think all of Santa Barbara after 9pm (til midnight!)PS fun fact: Elias used to own this market; he's the best! Now he owns the smoke shop on De La Vina and Mission called Paradise Smoke Shop; pop on over there for all your tobacco and head change needs ? He and his son run an awesome shop! Cheers!”
“Very accommodating they had a good selection of beers was looking specifically for Firestone Walker collection series barrel aged they had a great selection and we're willing to coordinate anything they can get in the future stop by for craft beers especially high ABV bourbon barrel aged”

“Basic neighborhood liquor store. Good selection of beer, wine and hard liquor, with the hard liquor selection being adequate but not extensive. All your basics plus some fun out-of-the-ordinary selections. Unless you're looking for something unusual you'll be able to find it here. Prices are reasonable for Santa Barbara.”

“I stopped in here for on 5/15/2025 at 5:17 PM on my way to a concert. Had a little headache, needed a couple Ibuprofen. They had the little 2 dose travel size, exactly what I needed. More importantly though, the young man at the counter was SUPER nice. He had a little something personal and authentically engaging to say to every single customer he interacted with. Thank you!!!”

“We had an awesome night here. The staff was really nice and knowledgeable. The variety of liquor is wonderful, and their prices are affordable. You can either take a bottle to go or cork it there. This was one of my favorite eves. Highly recommend this place!”
