Went in from the side with better parking, smelled strongly of human urine. Walls were filthy. DMV hardly offers any services, it is now all online : /

Crazy because I wouldn't ever think I'd find myself reviewing DMV and definitely not in a positive way but here we are. I had an appointment but I'm kind of confident they would have done fine without it. No line in either lines. Came in at 10:35 for a 10:50 appointment, they checked me in at 10:40 and I was completely finished at 11:07. Delightful, probably hands down best DMV experience. Appreciate the help. Thank you!

My daughter was tricked in her driving test. Told to go right then told to go left while the DMV tester was playing on her phone. I spoke to the young man before her test he was also given wrong directions. I spoke to the other staff at DMV, the tester cannot trick people in the test and cannot be on their phones. The young man before my daughter also told me she said he the tester said he was in the turning lane more than 200’, exactly as what she stated on my daughters! If this has also happened to your child let DMV know, put in a complaint. If your the family of the boy that went to DMV this morning please let the DMV office know what happened during your sons test.

I usually never write bad complaints. A few years ago I took my driver test with this awesome lady. So I recommended my sister to go take hers there. I thought this dmv was such an amazing place not only did I recommend my sister to take her test there I went to the extent of recommending some of my friends aswell. But they must of got new employees because all I have heard is negative things back from the people i have recommended there, especially about k.June one of the driver instructors. She tricks people during there test, she plays on her phone the whole time, and she always writes down that the driver drove more than 250ft in the turner lane. She has not only done that to one person but multiple people that have taken the drivers tests with her. First on all no one in the state of California should ever be tricked in their drivers test. Second of all how, as a driver instructor, are you going to have precise grading skills if they’re sitting on their phone the whole drive. How was she to even know if they’re driving in the lane for more than 250ft before they make a turn if she’s playing on her damn phone the whole time. This is outrageous and ridiculous! If anyone thinks about going to the Jackson dmv. Personally I would recommend a different driver or go to Sonora. No kid should work this hard to be let down by a driver instructor and that purposely fails people. She needs to be fired this in ridiculous!

Just now renewed my driver's license. The lady there guided me through the process with aplomb. She was efficient, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Excellent! 10/10

I NEVER write reviews but Jackson DMV you need new employees. I was shocked by how rude and disrespectful they were. I understand that working in a DMV can be stressful, but that's no excuse for taking it out on the people they're supposed to be helping. It's not like we want to be there either, but we all have to deal with the inconvenience of getting a ID, licenses and registrations renewed. A little bit of courtesy and respect would go a long way in making the experience more bearable.

I received a paper through DMV that I didn't understand. I had 4:30 call back appointment and had a foreign speaking person that I had a very difficult time understanding. What is the DMV thinking. And she was offended with me for not understanding her. You need to get people we can understand. This off shore thing is ridiculous. I still never got my answer that I'm comfortable with.

The people here were very nice as well as patient with me as this was my first time in a California DMV. I moved from north Idaho where the line is the best part of the ordeal, and this experience was a breath of fresh air in comparison.

What a joke. Had an appointment but made no difference. They take in walk ins just a fast. Waited over 30 minutes. Another california government failure.
