“This camping in open public lots amongst and in close proximity to others. There are good sites, some with a fire pit and wood picnic tables. The ocean is cliftside but absolutely stunning. They have a no noise policy after 9 pm and strictly enforced.
All toilets are portapotty style and showers are open top and take coin currency $3.00 for 6 minutes.
The hiking and exploration are beautiful.
They have a small but quaint local market, which has just about everything you might have forgotten (open 9am - 6pm)
They might have small stacks of bundled wood ($10.00 each - cash only)
You also have access to faucet water, but it is not drinkable. You will need to filter.”

“This turned out even better than expected. We stayed in the Pelican Suite, which was right on the water and had a private balcony. It was sorta dicey finding it at midnight, because it was across the road and down a bit from the main lodge, but we managed! The rooms are on both sides of the highway, so we actually were right over the water. The suite was spotless and well laid out. We could definitely hear the guests staying below us, even though they were speaking in a normal voice and not being loud. And we were a little surprised when they walked right past our picture window to get to their room! But we would definitely stay here again. There's no cell service, but the wireless calling worked out pretty well.”
“Truly a gorgeous slice of paradise for anyone who loves a romantic getaway on the coast! Specific rooms have better views, in mine you could see the Pacific Ocean from the king sized bed, right next to the roaring fireplace. 10/10 highly recommend Fort Ross Lodge!!!!”
