“We had such a wonderful stay at Mojave Sands, I can’t recommend it enough.
Susan helped accommodate some itinerary changes, truly the best customer service I’ve ever had at any hotel. She provides helpful check in info with plenty of time ahead of arrival. It’s a quiet little tucked away gem walking distance to the fun in town. The courtyard is incredible, lots of different areas to sit and relax, a beautiful koi pond and cacti gardens. The sound of the water feature is blissful.
There are only 5 rooms here so it feels neighborly and very quiet, I enjoyed coffee on the private patio (all rooms have one!) in the morning and saying hi to folks staying in other rooms doing the same. The coffee was a TREAT - no keurig garbage but a full size French press and a kettle. No disposable cups but real mugs, and a couple water glasses. Water was provided in the small fridge as well. Maybe the best linens I’ve ever experienced in a hotel, felt luxurious. The record player with a great selection of albums really adds a nice touch.
Overall it feels very well run, designed and laid out. I can’t wait to come back and visit again!”

“A small but very nice motel in a beautiful setting just on the edge of the town of Joshua Tree. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool is refreshing and there is an interesting historic connection with Gram Parsons. The rooms surround a small desert courtyard. It's a small operation and the staffed desk hours are limited, but the room pass code works on the exterior doors so you can come and go as you please. The staff is friendly and good at recommending local places to eat.

The motel common spaces were being renovated when we were there, but there will be more to do in the future, including provisions for live entertainment.”

“We enjoyed our stay here.. while booking we thought the whole house would be ours - in the end it was just one room so price ratio wasnt quite there.. but its a great location.. setting. Peaceful surrounding.. pool.. the stars were sooooooo close! And i enjoyed my early mornin yoga sess in between the cactud! Thank you so much”

“This is exactly what you want in a motel. Clean, charming, and with friendly service. The backyard is really cool with a stellar cacti collection and lights. Ravi was really cool. I will definitely stay again if I come back this way.”

“We just wrapped a stay at AutoCamp Joshua Tree and loved every minute. Our Airstream was comfy and beautifully set up, the plunge pool saved us from the summer heat, and the dark desert skies made for unreal stargazing by the fire. We enjoyed an early sunrise hike since the park is minutes away. Huge shout out to Yude and Wendy, who went above and beyond to make this stay so special. We’ll be back!”

“We had a fabulous stay at the Joshua Tree Ranch House Motel! To begin, the customer service was exceptional. Arieanna Sniffin,
Off-Site Motel Manager, was wonderful about communication. We required a Slightly early check-in to attend a wedding, and she was great about accommodating this request. making sure our room was clean and ready. The room was cute, comfortable, and cozy. Check in and out was simple with a lockbox. The location was perfect, and felt more like an Airbnb than a motel. We will definitely return!”

“The castle house was a cute and unique experience. The tent was clean and smelled fresh, which I appreciated. I knew there would be shared bathrooms and showers, but I didn’t realize the shower would be outdoors. It was interesting, but it also felt uncomfortable and exposed.

There was a good amount of space between the tent and the guard tower, but since the area was so open and empty, sound carried easily. I could clearly hear conversations and even people snoring at night.

There is no electricity in the tent, so you need to bring a power bank to charge your phone. There is also no microwave or refrigerator available. Early check-in is not accommodated, and guests are expected to take care of their own trash. Overall, it didn’t feel like much service was provided during the stay.”
