Mojave Sands is a charming, one-of-a-kind boutique hotel, though it calls itself a motel. It is a nouveau rustic, spectacularly special, and thoughtfully created hidden oasis. This unique, zen experience offers a secluded, quiet, and relaxed vibe that is perfect for decompression. The compound is super secure and private with a huge metal gate, creating a very dark and quiet atmosphere at night. The hotel has five rooms total, including a spacious two-level suite. Rooms are clean, well-equipped, warm, and comfortable with artistic touches and mid-century modern decor. Details are charming and everywhere, from a typewriter to a working record player with a huge selection of records. The suite features a small kitchen, picture windows with a dynamite view, and carefully chosen art pieces. Beds and linens are very comfortable. Bathrooms have huge showers with fantastic water pressure. Rooms also include a French press with coffee, an electric kettle, a small fridge, and AC. The outdoor area is gorgeous with a lovely patio, relaxing water features, and a koi pond. The location is very convenient and close to everything in Joshua Tree, just next to the national park entrance, with local color within walking distance. The owner is lovely, very welcoming, helpful, kind, and accommodating. The place is pet-friendly, offering a safe, enclosed area. It is a fantastic, cozy, pretty, bougie but eclectic place to escape and highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay at Mojave Sands while in town visiting Joshua Tree National Park. The rooms were clean and well-equipped. We especially enjoyed the outdoor patio area with the relaxing water feature to reduce sounds from the nearby roads. The outdoor area was also really nice.

It´s really a fun motel to stay at. Susan is very welcoming and helpful and its very conveniently located, just next to the entrance of Joshua Tree. The record player in the room is a very nice touch and you can feel music lovers are running the place. Can highly recommend it
