“I’ve been taking Iara’s Brazilian Sculpt Dance classes for over two years, and I can honestly say they’ve transformed me from the inside out. Her classes are this perfect fusion of choreography, Brazilian dance movements, functional training, cardio, and pure joy. It’s the kind of workout that makes you forget you’re actually working out. You sweat, you laugh, you feel sexy, strong, and completely alive.
But what truly sets this class apart is Iara herself. Her energy is magnetic: she motivates you, lifts you up, and somehow gives you that extra dopamine you didn’t even know you needed. Every class feels like a therapy session: a mix of movement, release, empowerment, and community.
If you want something fun, challenging, and deeply soul-nourishing, I can’t recommend Iara’s class enough. It has become one of the best parts of my week and a big part of my personal journey back to myself. I truly hope more Brazilian Sculpt Dance classes are added to the schedule — once you experience it, you’ll want as many as you can get.”

“Isotiques is the perfect barre studio for multiple reasons. I’ve taken barre classes at several places but none have the unique, effective method that Isotiques delivers. When I first started taking classes here, I saw changes in my body after just 2 classes - no joke! It’s the only workout I did leading up to my wedding in order to get into optimal shape. You are guaranteed to get a thorough and intense workout every single time. They will push you to exert your best effort, but at the same time will not single you out or make you feel uncomfortable if you are struggling. The instructors are great at showing you modifications and making sure your form is correct to get the best results! The rest of the decor throughout the studio is super classy and cute too. I would recommend Isotiques to anyone interested in a Barre/Mat Pilates type class, new comer or veteran.”

“I had injured myself for the 2nd time Monday and could barely sleep from the pain. When I laid on the table, every movement I made hurt and the stretches hurt. after about 20 minutes, the pain shifted and started to feel good. By the time the 50 minutes were over, I felt so much better. It is now a couple hours later and I feel incredible! Joe is amazing. He has an incredible ability to zero in on what needs to be done. My pain went from an 8 to a 3. I am so grateful.”

“Very friendly people and a great workout. Clean studio with positive energy. I am new to Barre and I had a lot of encouragement which was hugely appreciated. I was a bit worried about the workout but my body legitimately felt better immediately after and I can see adding Barre to my fitness and this studio esp had a nice community feel. If you are curious about Barre this is a great place to try. Good luck everyone!”

“Soma location is my gym of choice based on size, location, and parking. Gym is constantly being improved. If you're considering a personal trainer I've had great success with Max R. he got me way bigger and stronger in spite of previous sports injuries. if you're an athlete or training to become one he's your guy.”

“It's a very nice facility to join as far as indoor gyms go.

It has a very nice outdoor pool and jacuzzi area which is very much busy with a huge amount of swimming lanes and swimming lessons and children's activities and all kinds of things like that.
One of the nicest things is that it is a new and beautiful facility with a small workout area in general upstairs but it's a very nice workout area and if you are on any type of assistance ... social security or you have food stamps you can apply for a discounted (with a possibility of a complete Grant to cover the entire cost of a membership) membership that is good at all the YMCA's which all are very nice lately .. many of them have been remodeled and they take a lot of time and care to keep these new facilities clean and also they provide many nice amenities.

Residents of the County of San Diego are entitled to claim 2 passes a year and so you can try one two times or try two different ones they don't have to be back to back ... you can do one in the spring and one in the fall ... they are very easy going about it and it is a nice way to spend the day especially if you're trying to decide to join a gym!

They have nice locker rooms excellent showers excellent bathrooms, and an area to do your hair and get ready for the day if you go before work and a lovely way to wind down after work!

The only thing that I thought could be improved was today is not easy to navigate at this particular YMCA your way through reserving a basketball court or finding a class it's a little bit chaotic the way the workout area is upstairs and it's not very large, but I'm sure that the staff would be able to help with any of those questions.”
