“Long time patron, first time reviewer. I’ve been frequenting CF Humanity since 2020 but have joining the Hyrox classes on the weekends for the last ~year+. The workouts are consistently well programmed and accommodate all fitness levels. It’s a welcoming environment with a great group of knowledgeable coaches and encouraging athletes. I highly recommend if you want to checkout Hyrox for the first time and/or challenge yourself to be a better -athlete/competitor.”

“Crossfit ATR is a fantastic gym and has a great community. I have been training here for few months and I received nothing but positive vibes from staff and other members. The coaches are very friendly and knowledgeable and can assist members suffering from injuries throughout classes. In addition to 24 hour access, the gym is also very spacious and has a lot of equipment for all types of training and fitness levels.”

“Excellent personal training! I googled Hillcrest Personal Training and Jordan was the ONLY person to answer the phone. He’s insanely motivating and such a professional. I’ve become so much stronger in the few short months we’ve been working together. I recommend seeing him a couple times per week because of the motivation alone.”

“Anna, Anna, Anna, WOW! Do yourself a favor and up your workout in the best possible way! I have been taking barre for a minute and this 60 min signature was fire! I loved her energy and overall personality to push you past where you have gone before. Next level. Grateful.”
“Writing this review after a year as a member. Unfortunately that ends this month, but I have nothing but positive things to say about this gym. This is the best gym in south San Diego. If you want a true ‘private gym’ without the crowds, this is for you. Whether you’re interested in bodybuilding or CrossFit, they have everything you need. The owners are very passionate about fitness and are continuously investing into this gym. Anyone would appreciate the quality of the equipment just as much as I do. Looking forward to becoming a member again in the future.”

“Dropped in while on vacation. Stopped in the day before to chat and everyone I met was very welcoming. I spoke with a few coaches and members the first day who gave some great reccomendations for our visit and helped us enjoy the trip to its fullest. When I dropped in, Brady was there to show me around. He was very helpful and seemed to really enjoy what he was doing. The equipment was all you could want and more. I didn't have enough time or energy to even experience 1/3 of the gym. But it is fully equipped and had everything from mobility stations, recovery station, a bodybuilding specific section, and all the crossfit or hyrox equipment available. I would love to drop in again next time I'm in town.”
“Crossfit ATR has been absolutely phenomenal! When I moved to San Diego and reached out for a free trial class I immediately got a text from the owner, Adam, with a friendly welcome and details. Not an auto-generated message but a genuine person. Also, before my first class I spoke, on the phone with one of the coaches... again not with a chatbot or an automated message but a real person to ask some questions about membership. This was huge for me and I think where crossfit ATR really stands out is their personal touch, attention, and dedication to members. I moved from an area where I struggled to find a gym because there was a lot of red tape around classes and memberships (e.g., class limits, cancelation windows, no-show/late cancelation fees) which really made everything stressful and for the price of crossfit memberships it was frusturating. I had a lot of questions and concerns about this before buying a membership when I moved to SD and the staff really took the time to answer my questions; didn't direct me to a FAQs page or make me feel like it was an inconvenience. Crossfit ATR has lots of other great qualities, welcoming community, knowledgeable and friendly coaches, member events, plenty of space and parking, but the personal communication was really what I appreciated when I started. This was the first gym I tried in SD and I couldn't be happier with my choice.”
“Within 2 years, I had Maywhether Boxing, The Boxing Club, and Rumble close on me back to back to back, so I decided to give OTF a try since it's the only group class gym left in my area. I signed up a month ago, and from the very beginning I had various issues with my heart rate monitor. It felt like all the different girls at the reception kept giving me the runaround and I was getting frustrated having to use a loaner every time and hearing different answers from different people. Finally, I was able to meet with the manager, Amelia, and she really turned around my whole experience. She immediately fixed all my issues without me even having to ask, which I really appreciated. Ever since then, I'm a happy member! I have the unlimited membership and go about 4-5 times a week. I love all the classes and all the coaches! I never thought I’d enjoy a treadmill workout, but I even take the Tread50 classes once a week and they’re a lot of fun!”
“HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! One of the hardest workout but if you're a beginner they make you feel comfortable on what works for you best and be motivated to get to the next level!”

“I started coming here because I was tired of the overcrowded and dirty commercial gyms. Teqneeq has all the equipment I need for all types of workouts and is rarely ever too crowded where I can’t get my full routine in. As a woman, I felt comfortable coming here as the community is very kind and the security measures were well placed. I also appreciate how clean it is and their custodial team is so amazing, I see them clean thoroughly every week! Would recommend for anyone seeking to accomplish their fitness goals :)”

“Orangetheory UTC is an incredible studio! I’ve taken classes with almost all of the instructors, and they all bring amazing energy, making every workout both challenging and fun.
The front desk team is fantastic—always cheerful and ready to help. Head Coach Sara is awesome too; she’s incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to connect with members on an individual level.
I also love the recent expansion in class times and the addition of yoga—it’s great to have even more options to fit my schedule. They also do a great job of incorporating a variety of workouts and exercises into the mix, allowing classes - even if you're going 4-5 times/week - never to feel stale.
Overall, I couldn’t recommend this location more. The team is outstanding, and the UTC area has plenty of great spots for pre- or post-workout fuel, whether you’re grabbing coffee, a smoothie, or a meal.”

“I recently had to leave Landform Fitness only because I moved and the commute became too long, but I wanted to share how great this gym really is. It’s easily one of the best values you’ll find — a true 24-hour gym with simple keyless entry, super affordable pricing, and a setup that feels almost like having your own personal gym.
There are rarely more than a few people inside (most times I saw 3–5 max), so you can just zone out and do your workout without waiting for equipment or being bothered. The space is clean, quiet, and has everything you need for a solid session.
If I still lived nearby, I wouldn’t have left. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a no-nonsense, low-crowd gym experience.”

“After doing research on personal trainers, I ended up finding Xavier at Liv Fit. I’ve Been working with him since January and I’m stoked on the progress. I’m down 24 lbs of fat, kept my muscle, and still living a fun, balanced lifestyle.
Xavier knows what he’s doing, pushes you just enough, and makes training enjoyable. The vibe at the gym is great too, the owners and staff are always welcoming .”

“I have been going to Orangetheory for 12 years. I started at OTF Mission Valley and while that is my home studio, I like to try other studios in the San Diego area as well. Last month, I decided to take a class at Point Loma. Chiara was coaching the class on Sunday and as soon as I walked in the door and got checked in, Chiara was in the lobby greeting all the members. Much to my surprise, she recognized my parter and myself from a visit she had made to Mission Valley in the past.
Once we got in the studio, she had a great hip hop playlist that really matched the cadence of the workout we were doing. I really like how she is constantly moving around the studio to keep the energy up, motivate everyone and make sure that everyone is getting the experience out of their workout.
One thing I have learned during my time at Orangetheory, the coaches make all the difference in the world when it comes to the workouts! I highly recommend taking a one of Chiara's classes!”

““I’ve had a great experience at Orangetheory Fitness! The workouts are fun, challenging, and well-structured. The coaches are motivating, and the energy in the studio keeps me pushing my limits. I’ve seen great progress and always leave feeling accomplished. Highly recommend!””
“If you’re looking for a workout that makes you sweat, and question your life choices (in the best way), Revel Fit Club is IT. This place is your happy place, if your idea of happy includes burning lots of calories and having trainers yell motivational things at you while you’re clinging to your last ounce of energy (I say this with love).
The treadmill/bench split is my jam. There’s something weirdly satisfying about running at 11 mph like you’re being chased, then dropping down for weight sets in beast-mode. The energy in the room is electric and fun! And the trainers? Total rockstars! They hype you up like you’re about to headline Coachella. Honestly, I’ve never felt so seen while also being so out of breath - especially when they give you a special shoutout mid-workout!
Every workout leaves me sweaty, and stronger. If I could give Revel a sixth star, I would; but I’ll settle for this glowing five and a post-workout protein shake.”
