“One of the sweetest, most wonderful shops in South Park, San Diego. So many cute books and gifts and their child section is so precious! We had purchased a little wooden picnic set and upon coming home and opening, realized the handle from the basket was missing. The ladies at the Gold Leaf were so accommodating and mailed us the replacement handle the next week. Amazing customer service and can't wait to visit again!”
“I bought some vintage TMNT figures and a comic book series. The place could be a library, it has comics for sale from all the franchises you can imagine, organized and correctly classified.”

“Gotta say it was a great experience. I drove an hour to get here for 2 HG kits. When I walked in I was immediately hit with a wave of excitement knowing I had found a place where people who share my enthusiasm for the craft definitely congregate. They have stock on kits that I can't find anywhere locally and the prices are great.Chill friendly staff.The one gent, who was working at the time, came right over to help me with my questions,I believe his name was Parker. You could tell he cared about the people who came into the storeOverall great initial experience will definitely be returning I highly recommend anyone into the gunpla make the trip out to this shop was well worth the drive for me!”

“Found this sweet hidden gem while exploring the streets of San Diego in Seaport Village! Cute interior and exterior. They have such an array of sweets and chocolates like their wall of gummy bears of different flavors. This place locked a lot of memories from childhood sweets. I ended up getting a Twix ice cream bar since it's a warm day in San Diego and I was craving something extra sweet. It was a great purchase that hit the spot with speedy service. Definitely come by if you have a sweet tooth craving.”

“I have been a teacher for 7 years, and today I decided to go to Lakeshore (the last time I visited this store was about 10 years ago). I walked out of there MIND BLOWN! The back to school sales are INSANE, and just EVERYTHING is quality material! The workers were constantly checking in with me and also offering to go check the back for more supplies! I feel like I have missed out for years now! They truly have the best selection and can't beat the prices for the amount/bulk they sell! I walked out of there with the best deals and the best items to set me up for the year!”

“This was a fun place for me to stop in while in Seaport Village, as who doesn't have a little kid inside of them? Toy shops are always a must visit for me! They've got something for everyone, a nice selection and a mom and pop store kind of feel. I like how they have not just the fun toys that sparkle and make noise but also have educational/interactive options as well. Fun stuff for both kids and adults! I picked something up for my kiddo to bring home and enjoyed my visit here!”
“Another great gift store at SeaWorld in San Diego! This one is hard to miss with the cool contrasting colored designs on and around the building. Inside you'll find trinkets and little things that make for a great souvenir for a friend or family member. It didn't seem to be too crowded when I was there. I'm not sure if that is the norm though? Definitely some cute things at this gift shop! :)”

“I went we shopped at first, and I got instant nostalgia. The signs and the candy took me back to the good ole days!! What really caught my eye was the fake ids. There were so many I couldn’t pick!! I asked the lady at the front desk “what should i get?” and she said I would get this one. That made my heart warm, because normally I have trouble making decisions. “My experience was so good I immediately looked up Build a Bear customer service and called them so they could know how great this store is.I couldn’t even come come close to articulating the joy that is in my heart right now so I will get straight down to the brass tax:These ladies CARE SO MUCH!!!!! They are passionate, professional, and most importantly, they understand how magical of an experience this can be for some people and they SHINE doing it.Also I think it’s important to note that the shop is in a VERY NICE mall with the highest end designer stores and I came in with my cheap clothes and felt like I stood out like a sore thumb AND THEY TREATED ME EXACTLY THE SAME which I think is huge. It shows they love what they do and the moment sells itself, they don’t need me to buy all these clothes to be worthy of love.Come to think of it, I think a lot of people and businesses could learn from the Build a Bear business model and especially how they run things at this store.I’m so excited to bring Rabbit back for the clothes she deserves!Your stuffies truly come to life here, no other plush could ever compare.Thank you so much for such an important gift at such an important time.All the love-Rabbit and Garvin”

“A great stop for any type of n*** out there from comics, anime, tv shows, tabletop, DnD, baseball, you name it, they most likely got it if it's n*** related. Besides the comics, figures, and other collectible merchandise, they have a large selection of TCG, CCG, and Miniatures games from new to retired. Even old movie, baseball, and dead card game packs. I stopped in and was surprised they had a great selection of Heroclix from brand new Iconix stuff to some blasts from the past. Wish I had a place like this in my state.”

“Used to frequent the location in 4S before they became a boxing gym. This location is always busy and has all the toys a child can imagine and more. It's easy to get in and out from and items are reasonably priced. This time around my son wanted a police car. How fitting was it that they charged $5.0 for it!? “Consistently kind and helpful service!! My girlfriend and I purchased our hats here back in the Spring, and we come back whenever we need something for the beach. Yesterday I purchased sunblock lotion and the squeeze button on top stopped working within a few minutes after purchase; so I brought it back to see if Kyle could get it to work. Kyle could not get it working either, and so I purchased a different brand bottle that happened to be $2 less expensive, and even though I told him to keep the change especially since he was giving me the other bottle for free in the case I got it working, he still gave me the $2 in cash difference.Kyle and Dave convey a strong sense of community with others. “First time at Geppetto's toy store in La Jolla. What a find on Yelp! We stopped in to get gifts for the grandkids but I found quite a few things that I wanted. Geppetto's had games, toys, fidgets, gadgets, plushies, dolls, and everything else that a little toy maker could imagine. We bought a travel game for the grandkids called Guess Who. We also got some stocking stuffers for future use. Really had a good time perusing all of the toys.”
