“Isotiques is the perfect barre studio for multiple reasons. I’ve taken barre classes at several places but none have the unique, effective method that Isotiques delivers. When I first started taking classes here, I saw changes in my body after just 2 classes - no joke! It’s the only workout I did leading up to my wedding in order to get into optimal shape. You are guaranteed to get a thorough and intense workout every single time. They will push you to exert your best effort, but at the same time will not single you out or make you feel uncomfortable if you are struggling. The instructors are great at showing you modifications and making sure your form is correct to get the best results! The rest of the decor throughout the studio is super classy and cute too. I would recommend Isotiques to anyone interested in a Barre/Mat Pilates type class, new comer or veteran.”

“I had the pleasure of shooting Jayme and Kyle's wedding here this past weekend. This is easily one of my favorite venues in SoCal. The courtyards are beautiful and we were lucky to have dinner and the reception outdoors! The side gardens and surrounding areas make for some great couples portraits. I would highly recommend this venue for booking your wedding reception.”

“Rooms and patio deep in a bustling UCSD Campus. The facilities were fine. Getting from Scholars parking to the facility was a minor challenge. On returning to the parking, the elevator was behind a locked glass door. Luckily some students took pity on 2 senior citizens and let us in.”

“Darlington House was the perfect venue for our wedding. It felt like we were having such a hard time finding a venue for our wedding until we found Darlington House. My wife and I were impressed with the large outdoor area, the beautiful indoor area, and especially the library. It was great knowing that proceeds from our event were helping a good cause as well. Our wedding was gorgeous and we received so many compliments on how perfect the venue was.”

“It's nice, quiet, and beautiful. A good and proper place for occasions like weddings, celebrations, etc. The view is great. The small house looks good and has a nice galley. It's part of UCSD, so be sure to follow UCSD policy.”

“Where to even begin...we cannot say enough amazing things about the staff (and vendors) at the Cuvier Club. This was the first and only venue we interviewed with and even though we had to do the interview over Zoom (we live in the Bay and didn't see the venue until two months before our wedding) talking to Anders made us instantly sure that this was the one for us.

Not only did they make it really really easy because of the all-inclusive option but the vendors that are part of the package are phenomenal, each and every one of them.

Planning a wedding from another part of the state is not easy but honestly, the staff of the Cuvier Club (especially Anders) made it feel like we were supported every single step of the way.

As for the day of, Anders, Selina, and Morgan were ABSOLUTELY incredible! Selina asked all the right questions and gave the best support and Anders showed up to help "just because". We had crazy wind the day of and I was freaking out about it being too cold and they both made sure we were still able to pull off our vision perfectly. Morgan was by our side the whole reception making sure we were not only on schedule but AHEAD of schedule (when does that even happen?!) Our guests had nothing but incredible things to say about the food (Renato made the best cupcakes), the venue (Mishelle's florals were stunning), the music (Alex is awesome!), the bartender (Asher's the best!), and the party and many told us it was the best wedding they've been to (purely because of the amazing staff)!

We just can't thank this venue enough for every part of this experience--we feel like we became friends with them throughout the past year and we recommend them times a million! Best wedding ever!”

“Great location and cute historic property. The rooms do need a bit of updating but hope they stay true to the historic vibe. The room was huge! No complaints in size, however room 410 was right next door to the laundry which runs at all hours of the day. It wasn’t too awful but it also wasn’t great to hear all the time. My bed over was awful, it was horribly uncomfortable and lumpy. I was “rolling uphill” every time I moved. I had a horrible back ache for my entire trip. Luckily my neighbor was quiet but on my last day new guests had checked in and I could hear everything.

The on site dining was unexpectedly closed one day which meant that I had to scramble to find breakfast one morning so that was a bummer.

The resort fee, as others have mentioned, was a bit of a shock.”

“Never got a chance to visit when I was a student. Didn’t realize the school owns this fabulous place too, wow. Why didn’t I study oceanography or marine biology? Must be super fun.
I had a wonderful day here during the homecoming event! Saw lots of amazing creatures.”
