Bundling our tickets with popcorn in advance was a total Game Night win with No Time to Die waiting around, and having great drinks ready to go felt straight out of Cocktail under the stars. A flawless 5-star night from start to finish. I'll Be Back for the sequel!”

“We loved having our wedding at The Thursday Club. The views are gorgeous and the whole layout worked perfectly for the kind of wedding we wanted. We did a circular ceremony in the garden, which Chris was super accommodating and creative about helping us pull off. We were literally surrounded by our family and friends while getting married with the ocean in the background. Pretty hard to beat. The flow of the venue was also perfect. Ceremony in the garden, cocktail hour between the garden and terrace, then inside for dinner and dancing. We had around 150 people and never felt cramped. There are also dedicated spaces for both sides of the wedding party before the ceremony, and we made great use of the stage during the reception. Chris is also just a really lovely dude. Both sets of our parents visited San Diego on separate weekends before the wedding and wanted to see the venue. Both times he personally welcomed them and showed them around. One of those visits was even on a holiday! It was a small thing he absolutely did not have to do, and it meant a lot to us and our parents. He was also super responsive and on top of the logistical stuff. He flagged insurance requirements, venue rules, what we could and couldn’t do, etc. early enough that we never had to scramble around trying to figure something out at the last minute. Mostly, we just have really fond memories of this place. Garden, ocean views, everyone we love surrounding us, cocktails on the terrace, then dinner and dancing inside. It was romantic as heck and exactly what we wanted. Thank you Chris for being so good to us and our families. We’re very happy we chose The Thursday Club.”

“The Spreckels Organ Pavilion is one of the most extraordinary attractions in San Diego’s Balboa Park, featuring a magnificent outdoor pipe organ in a beautiful architectural setting unlike almost anything else in America. As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series novels and the Maui Desire Romance Series, I’ve spent decades exploring San Diego, and the Spreckels Organ Pavilion has always been one of my favorite cultural landmarks. I’ve attended numerous concerts, Christmas celebrations, plays, and civic events here over the years. What makes this place so remarkable is the enormous outdoor pipe organ, one of the largest outdoor pipe organs in the world. Originally dedicated in 1914, it remains a remarkable example of musical engineering and a wonderful part of San Diego’s cultural heritage. The pavilion itself is spectacular, with a grand architectural backdrop, an expansive stage, and an open-air seating area that makes attending a performance a unique experience. There’s something wonderful about listening to the powerful sound of a pipe organ while sitting outside in San Diego’s beautiful weather. I’ve attended many organ concerts here over the years, and the sound is incredible. The instrument can produce everything from delicate melodies to enormous, powerful passages that fill the surrounding area. I’ve also had the opportunity to speak with the organist, who was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. Having a professional civic organist associated with the city is a wonderful tradition and something that makes San Diego particularly special. The pavilion is also a fantastic setting for Christmas celebrations. I’ve attended holiday events here, along with theatrical performances and civic gatherings. The combination of music, architecture, and festive atmosphere makes it one of my favorite places in Balboa Park during the holiday season. Even when there’s no performance taking place, the pavilion is worth visiting simply to appreciate the architecture and the enormous organ pipes. It’s a remarkable centerpiece of the park and an excellent photography location. One of the best features is the tradition of free public organ concerts, making this extraordinary instrument accessible to everyone. Check the current performance schedule before visiting. I’ve traveled extensively, and I struggle to think of another city with an outdoor musical landmark quite like the Spreckels Organ Pavilion. It’s a remarkable combination of history, engineering, architecture, and live performance. For me, this is one of the essential experiences in Balboa Park and one of San Diego’s most distinctive cultural treasures.”

“We joined Santaluz really not knowing what to expect. My wife and I are not 'country club' type people. We liked the looks of the club and the people we met. That was just the beginning. Our family (2 young daughters and us) have met lifelong friends here. The restaurants, service, pool, racquet sports are all awesome (we don't play golf so not sure about that!).In particular, the pickleball program is amazing. Victor is the Pickleball Pro at the club and he is extremely knowledgable and willing to help anybody at any level.If you are considering joining a club in the area, we highly recommend Santaluz”

“We booked an hour for a soccer team social and it was a blast! We had enough people to rent out the whole inside area. Xander and Claire were our coaches and they were both great. Xander led us through the safety requirements and then let us practice and take turns while giving follow-up tips. Parents and players had room to move around between the throwing cages. There was a central area with couches and tables for people to hang out too. Overall, it was a great time and neat experience.”

They helped get it all set up, were patient and thoughtful, and made sure we had the perfect event for such a sad occasion. We loved the venue inside and out. The location is right on the water, the inside is sunny, warm and has great vibes. The space is flexible and has plenty of different available configurations and ways it can be set up. The tech was all great and helped make sure we could show our slideshow, music, and stream remarks to those who couldn’t attend. I would absolutely recommend the Point for any type of event. They’ll make it perfect. It is a great, flexible space with an amazing team.”
