“I was very impressed with the selection and especially the staff when we visited on the evening of 6-18-23. We live in another state and I wanted a hat I saw online that was sold out. The staff was able to find me the last one in the store. They even went in the back to see if there was another one in a little better condition, without me even asking. “If you’re looking for an easygoing place to buy school supplies, merchandise, (text)books, and everything in between at UCSD, this is it. Almost everything is overpriced, albeit a public university, but the quality of products like notebooks and lanyards and the quality of service for Apple products and beyond are outstanding. Wait times aren’t very long unless you’re ordering something in person that could’ve been done online, and payment options are standard. It’s also located near Price Center, so that’s a plus. Solid bookstore.”
“I really found myself and my wardrobe here. Nordstrom Rack in La Jolla offers good value for what you pay. Their prices are competitive and while shopping here, I tend to force myself to limit the number of items I buy, because there no shortage of good colors and fits here. The t-shirts by Robert Barakett have become a favorite of mine, and a really affordable black button up by Denim and Flower has become my signature black shirt for formal events. The staff is attentive and friendly.”
