Act II is a boutique in the La Mesa downtown Village area offering a diverse range of merchandise including clothes, shoes, jewelry, and handbags. The store is noted for being clean and well-organized, with merchandise arranged by color and size. Sales associates are described as friendly and helpful, often assisting customers by starting dressing rooms for them. The pricing receives mixed reviews; some customers find the prices reasonable and unbeatable, while others feel the items are over-priced for a boutique that is not a thrift store. The atmosphere and experience also vary, with some visitors having a very pleasant experience and finding good selection, but others finding the owner pushy and the vibe unenjoyable, sometimes walking out without buying anything. It is important to note that the business has faced a significant challenge, with its closure announced due to a large rent increase. This was seen as a loss for the community, where it had been a vibrant part of the area for years. Regarding the stock, while some find cute costume jewelry and good condition items, there is feedback that it is not a true designer resale shop, carrying mostly common brands and even some knockoff items with designer logos, rather than actual designer brands.
I always find something when I stop in just to check it out..whether it's handbags, shoes, jewelry, cloths you can't beat the price! Check it out, you'd be back like me!

Very much enjoyed checking out this shop. The clothes were in good condition, organized easily by color and size and the employee kindly offered periodically to put my try ons in a room while I looked. Didn't quite find something that fit me but I had a pleasant experience.
