“Amazing experience, came because I was referred here due to an awesome kid program (babies to high schoo)l and stayed for the people. Has great worship, sermons, a mom's group, a grief group, men's and women's Bible studies, Wednesday night and Sunday morning kids programs plus lots of opportunities to give and participate in local outreach. It's a big church but once you get plugged in somewhere it'll start to feel like home. ❤”

“Love this church! I began attending Morningstar Christian Chapel in January of this year, and from the very first visit, I knew there was something very special here.
After many years serving extensively in ministry leadership at a large church, I came in carrying some heartbreak and disappointment from past church experiences. It has taken me two years for my heart to finally mend. What I found at Morningstar has been refreshing, healing, and deeply Christ-centered.
Every week, Pastor Wade — along with the other pastors and guest speakers — brings messages that are biblically grounded, thoughtful, honest, and full of the heart of God. You can tell Pastor Wade has a deep understanding of theology and a sincere love for Jesus and His people. Scripture is taught verse by verse with wisdom, humility, grace, and truth, and I leave every service with a fresh word and a deeper desire to surrender the flesh and walk closely with Christ.
The women’s ministry has also been phenomenal. The Bible studies are rich, meaningful, and spiritually grounded in a way that continually draws you closer to the heart of God, with a focus on transformation and spiritual growth.
What stands out most to me is how genuine this church feels. There is warmth, sincerity, and a real desire to point people back to Christ above everything else. You can sense a hunger for the presence of God and a love for people that is authentic and Spirit-led.
This church has impacted me because it faithfully points me away from personalities and back to Christ, truth, repentance, healing, and spiritual growth.
I honestly encourage anyone looking for a deeper relationship with Christ to come visit and experience it for yourself.

I attend the English morning service every Sunday at 8:00 AM. Father Mathew gives a thoughtful, engaging sermon that sets a peaceful tone for the week. The 8am Mass draws a good crowd and feels welcoming without being crowded.

“It was my first time to go to the first Friday mass in this church, and I didn't know that the school children go to the Friday mass as well. These good kids reminded me of when my sisters and I were in private Catholic school years ago. It brought back some good memories. The church is nice, and the mass was solemn. The priest gave a meaningful homily that the kids will remember.”

“I used to go to this church 60 years ago when I was a child it was just the small one on the side back then, but the church pool was there. My mother's name was Mary Ellen h a n s e n my father was Marv h a n s e n they're both passed away now. They would have joined in about 1962 my mother taught Bible school for young kids and my father was in the choir sometimes he made some arrangements for the organist. The pastor's name was Pastor enter a tall man with dark hair and dark glasses. And the new pastor was Pastor Paul a young man with light hair I am K Hanson I am 66 now. Unfortunately we moved from Garden Grove in 1968 and later to Houston Texas so we never could come back to visit although I do miss Garden Grove very much.”
“My brother referred me to this church. First, it changed my life and gave me another opportunity to be a father, son, brother. The ushers are upbeat and so friendly especially Danny Garcia. The Bishop is most likely the best teacher i have ever met. Gods authority and word flow through. The Pastors are also anointed with the spirit of the LORD for sure. “The church is under new "management" since the last reviews on this page and is no longer called "La Mirada Christian Church" , it is not just "La Mirada Church" and is now lead by Pastor Joe Barsha... He has taken (along with the help of many loving and caring members) the church from out of the ashes and renewed it :) If you had visited the church before the change over and were disappointed, I highly recommend coming back and giving it another try, as it's no longer the same church as before...”
