I was looking to start updating my stereo system to accommodate my extensive collection of vinyl and CD. I primarily listen to classical music and Jazz. I decided to contact Upscale Audio and informed them of what I was looking for. They immediately responded and put me in contact with an associate, Richard, who would help me. The next day he reached out and I explained to him what I was looking for, my music preferences and my budget. He listened carefully and provided me with recommendations tailored to my exact preferences. I received my new Rega Planar 6 with the Hana EL cartridge and phonostage and all I can say is WOW! The package arrived quickly and carefully calibrated with instructions of how to easily set it up. More impressive, when I needed support for a specific setup Richard was there and helped me resolve it. I am looking forward continuing my audio upgrade journey with Upscale as their service and support is incredible! They’re amazing!

I was looking to upgrade my phono preamp and came across Upscale Audio that deals in high-end audio gear—both digital and analog. I had a ton of questions, and Chris was incredibly helpful throughout the process.
He was super patient, really knowledgeable, and never made me feel rushed or pressured. After several conversations, he recommended the Zesto Andros Audio Spirit (which I haven’t received yet, so this review isn’t about the gear itself).
This is more about the awesome service I got—Chris went above and beyond, and that kind of customer care is rare these days. If you’re into serious audio and want to deal with people who know their stuff and actually care, I highly recommend checking them out.

Title: Buyer Beware – My Upscale Audio Devialet Experience
I’m not even sure where to begin.
I ordered a Devialet Phantom I 103 dB speaker from UpscaleAudio.com, and the experience has been a complete nightmare. It started when I called to confirm they were an authorized dealer for Devialet. The first employee confirmed this, but then told me the unit does not come with a manufacturer’s warranty — major red flag #1. I called back and spoke to someone else who correctly stated that it does include the warranty. That inconsistency alone should have been enough to walk away.
Against my better judgment, I purchased the last unit in stock. Delivery was the next issue. Rather than delivering a high-value, fragile speaker to my door, they stuffed it into a parcel locker, which I consider reckless handling for an item of this cost and fragility.
When I finally unpacked it, the remote wouldn’t pair out of the box. Then I noticed the chrome grill on one side wasn’t seated properly—it had dislodged during shipping or came that way, and due to the radiator vibrations, it slid out further as music played. The other side was fixed properly, confirming it was not by design.
When I contacted Upscale, their response was slow and dismissive. They took hours to send me a basic PDF pairing guide that I had already found myself online. Customer service? Barely.
After multiple issues, I asked for a replacement and was met with radio silence. Only after filing a claim with my credit card company did they finally respond — suddenly now that payment was on the line, they started replying daily and arranged a courier pickup.
Then came the real circus.
The courier was scheduled between 3–4 PM on a holiday. No one showed until 7:50 PM. The person was in plain clothes, driving an unmarked, beat-up van with children inside, and could not provide any ID or paperwork. She didn’t even know what item she was supposed to pick up. When I expressed concern and asked for verification, she refused to contact her boss — then threatened to call the police on me.
I was sick with a high fever, trying to navigate this bizarre situation, and had to speak to actual law enforcement over returning a speaker I didn’t break or damage. Eventually, I managed to speak to her boss and verified she was legitimate. But the fact that I was put in this situation at all is beyond comprehension.
I’m not sure what Upscale Audio and Ken Davis were thinking by sending someone this unprofessional to pick up an item valued at over $3,000. Whatever they’re trying to pull here — threatening a customer with police for questioning a shady pickup — is something I’m now speaking to legal counsel about.
I’m holding Upscale Audio, Devialet, and the unlicensed logistics company accountable for this entire ordeal.
If you’re considering purchasing from Upscale Audio, I strongly suggest you go elsewhere. I’ve never experienced anything this unprofessional and borderline dangerous from any online retailer. You might end up with a defective product, poor service — or worse, being treated like a criminal for simply asking questions.
Just my two cents. Proceed with caution.

I can't say enough about how great Upscale Audio is. Richard was awesome. He answered all my questions and helped me make the most educated decision for my purchase. Then they set up my turntable and took the time to email me every step of the way. You just don't get this kind of professionalism from anywhere. I can't recommend them enough for their service, knowledge and friendliness. Will be coming back to them for any other of my audio needs!!

Kevin talks a lot about customer service, my experience with rep Sean “smo” validates Kevin! Tremendous service from Sean! Met him at audio expo treated me like the only person there that day, and later I placed an order with him and felt like dealing with a friend. After sales help was outstanding also!

Joel at Upscale helped set me up with an amazing HiFi stereo system. He went beyond the extra mile answering all my questions & even helping me setup everything once it arrived. I ended up going with a pair of Klipsch Heresey IVs into a Vincent Audio SV-500 amp. We paired the Heresey’s with a Rel HT/1205 MKII. My source is the Bluesound Node Icon streamer. It’s a magical setup. Couldn’t be more pleased with the excellent customer service!

My new Arcam A15 amp sounds fantastic. Work great with my focal speakers. What a huge difference in my audio life. At this price point not sure how you could do better. It is that good.

I recently upgraded my internet to fiber optic including the modem.
With the difference in speed and quality, I decided to also upgrade the hardware associated with the connections. I purchased the Electric English 8switch ethernet switch from Upscale. With the addition of the switch and cat 8 cables, the audio improvement was tremendous. Voices are crystal clear.
Musical instruments are well defined and the soundstage dramatically improved. Overall presentation is smoother and more articulate. I might add, the video on my TV also improved with better picture quality. My next purchase was the Bluesound Node Music Streamer with the Sbooster external Power Supply. Again, The overall improvement exceeded my expectations. This combination took the audio to another level. I find myself sitting and listening to Spotify much more than before. The staff at Upscale were a tremendous influence in helping with this system upgrade. I highly recommend Upscale Audio. Satisfied customer Gary K.

Excellent knowledge and Superb Service!
I've looked hard to find my ideal audio system that provides the lush sound of tubes for vocals with dynamics and slam for jazz, rock, etc. I consumed too much information from the web, audiophile magazine reviews, YouTube, etc.
What truly stood out was the unwavering patience and professionalism of Sean and Joel. Despite my barrage of questions (which I'm sure must have been exhausting for them as well), they remained calm, collected, and always ready with expert advice. Their knowledge and resourcefulness, reaching out to their colleagues and conducting tests with their audio equipment whenever more information was needed, was truly exceptional.
I was looking to purchase audio equipment, but I ended up buying the equipment and establishing a relationship with an organization that is highly customer-focused. Thanks to Sean, Joel, their managers, and Kevin, I found my ultimate system at a very reasonable price, a purchase I'm truly satisfied with.

I did visit UpScale audio a few times back when they were out of a house and they were fantastic. Great selection of audiophile equipment. Knowledgeable staff when you can get their attention. I was looking to get a demo of two different Klipsch heritage speaker models with a tube amplifier. Since I was visiting the area, I called to set up an appointment in the next couple days. I was greeted, told they’d get back to me, waited for a good two minutes and the rollled over to voicemail. They appear to be a shadow of the company they were. Their online sales are good though.
