“I had a pretty special experience at Gelson's in Dana Point this past Friday. After I had returned a box of pasta back to the original location instead of leaving it on the end-aisle display where I had decided on another brand, the on duty/store manager came up to me and thanked me. I try to do a lot of "good" in life...certainly much more important in scale than this, but having him notice and then taking the time to compliment me was very special. Thank you for taking the time to recognize a small courtesy.”
“Gelsons supermarket is one of the most organized and fancy markets in Southern California. Excellent produce, Deli, Salad bar. All the regular daily needs plus more exotic funds. Their prices are typically more expensive than other markets. But besides the excellent quality and selection, they do offer better sevices like opening up more registers as soon as the available ones get busy.”

“Small international store with some products that you cannot find in a regular store such as Ukrainian cookies and candy, Latvian cottage cheese. I drive to this store especially for fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, they have a bakery with indeed delicious Persian desserts. It’s not cheap but worth it.”
“Parking lot is a little bit of a mess, but the store is pretty good. The store pickup can be hit and miss depending on the person. If you bring bags, the bagging won’t make any sense. Meaning, apples and bananas are with canned goods. Just make sure to check everything before you leave.”

“Been going to this store for years and I cant say enough good things. They have a great stock of produce, deli, meats (not so much the best seafood, sorry), snacks, etc. What I really like about this store is the employees, they are always willing to help and you can tell they have a great manager Rick. Whenever he is there it seems like everyone is happy because he treats his employees well and they all seem to really like him. Hes very helpful and professional, making the shopping experience an enjoyable event. Theres also a produce guy who went out of his way to order spagetti squash for me when I asked and they were out. I was so impressed!”

“Food is pretty good and prices reasonable. We are visiting the area and wanted Mexican food. They have hot food with an extensive menu, and you can see all the choices. They also have fresh fruit beverages, sodas, and fresh squeezed juice. We ordered carrot juice and orange juice, and they were both excellent. There is a bakery too, but we didn't try the baked goods.”

“As someone who just moved from a different area, I REALLY like this Aldi. They have a really interesting selection of seasonal items (planters, greenhouses, raised flower beds, and storage to name a few) along with more pre-made sides (potato salad, macaroni salad, and more), house made pizzas, bbq, Hawaiian chicken with pineapples, and much more. The staff was very kind and attentive with everyone even though it was very busy. They do offer tap to pay (??), and Aldi prices just can't be beat. Just don't forget your quarter if you need a shopping cart. ?”
