“I had been taking my car to John's Automotive in Allied Gardens since 2007 and have always been pleased with the service and staff. Living in El Cajon, I was excited to find out that John's Automotive opened a new El Cajon branch, on Airport Drive. Shortly after it opened, I had need of their service, and have been happily using them to repair my 2001 vehicle ever since.As with the Allied Gardens location, the El Cajon facility does excellent work and has a wonderful staff. Mathieu is outstanding, and always listens carefully to customer issues and stands by the mechanics' work - which is excellent. If an issue arises from a repair, Mathieu does not hesitate to take responsibility, and ensures that the problem is properly corrected. For me, the willingness to acknowledge errors and correct them is just as important as anything else. “I wish I could give Claudio 6 stars. You will never find another mechanic like him. He is honest and straightforward. I took my girlfriends car to Firestone over on Lake Murray and they told me I needed a new radiator, coolant cap and one more small small thing for a 2015 Honda fit with 35k miles. How much was Firestone going to charge me? $989.93...I took my car, paid the stupid fee and found this place. Let me tell you what Claudio found wrong. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. It was an issue that's been recalled for this same reason. He didn't even charge me for checking the car, tires and engine. I will be making him a small basket for his kids and him to enjoy as a huge thank you. If you see this Claudio, again, we are truly grateful to have found your business. We will be coming back here if we ever do come across something again.”

“Came here yesterday with an issue with my gas pedal which scarily became unoperable while driving. I am very lucky I wasn't in a car accident. I had my truck towed to this shop, which was recommended to me by "Good Sam Roadside Assistance" which is the same type of company like AAA and Eric and the rest of the mechanics were fantastic! They were able to fix my gas pedal better than the factory even. I had a very rare issue with the factory welds failing. Causing the plate that the gas pedal bracket mounts to; to sway back and forth and not work when applying pressure to the pedal. These guys were creative and fixed this very bizarre problem. I also noticed a new sound that I didn't have before and I took it back in to the shop the very next day and they quickly were very helpful in helping me find out where this annoying rattling noise was coming from. They even had me ride in the truck with one of the head mechanics to make sure I was satisfied with my truck. Ended up being just a simple rusty bolt that attaches to the front bumper. These guys are extremely honest and trustworthy and super cool, down to earth guys who are easy to talk to. If you are looking for a good, honest mechanic who is reasonable in this side of town, THIS IS the one.”

This shop is family owned and operated and i couldn’t be more pleased with the value they bring to their customers. I immediately took both cars to the shop , a subaru and acura for preventive maintenance . Jeff had told me in advanced how much the estimates were and if our cars didn’t need anything additional it wouldn’t make sense to charge me for it. I really appreciate his integrity and being forward with me. Lastly the turn around was 2 days and cars are back on the road doing what they’re intended to. “Vehicles serviced: 2012 Honda Odyssey & 2004 Lexus RX330I typically do my own maintenance, such as brake pad replacement and oils changes (the easier things). However, when I run into things that I’ve never dealt with, or can’t fix in my own, I take it here.Eli and his team are the among the best mechanics I’ve dealt with. Honest and upfront about what needs immediate attention versus what can be put off for a bit. For example, one issue with my Honda caused an oil leak into the engine. It would have cost me thousands to fix (and I was willing to pay it), but Eli mentioned that it was a common issue with Hondas, and that Honda provided an extended warranty for it. In comparison, the Honda service rep tried to blame me for the issue, and I had to verify with corporate that it was a covered issue.I have recommended Poway Import Auto Experts to friends and family, and wouldn’t hesitate to return for future service work.”

“My 2015 Honda Odyssey was due for oil change service. I scheduled an appointment and brought my Honda in for service. A full synthetic oil and filter change was completed. Additionally they inspected brakes, belts, hoses, air filter, exterior lights, front end, rotated tires, inspected fluids and topped off as needed. I also asked them to check the front splash and zip tie it if possible. They were able to do that, however if it breaks again the part will need to be replaced. In addition, it was recommended at 100,000 miles to replace timing belt, water pump and coolant service as well as transmission fluid service if not done sooner. They also discounted parts & labor ten percent. I appreciate their prompt, excellent service and their honesty. I prefer going to Vic's Auto Repair Specialists because they do a great job, their service is courteous, and they truly care about their customers. I prefer to support small, independently owned businesses within our community.”

“First and foremost, the point of being in business is to earn money. Plain and simple. There are a multitude of ways to do it and Sparkys, in my mind, is one of the best shops out there because of a key thing called Service and Honesty. I called the shop and told them what I was experiencing with my car. We set up and appointment. Talked to the guy at the desk and answered his questions with the recommendation that he doesn't service my transmission. Because it would be a waste of money. Because of the car being so old and a few other problems. He could have done what was asked and had me come back in a few weeks, months or more and taken more of my business. But, he didn't and for that reason, when a different car is in my name, I'll bring it to them. And I'll recommend all to go here first. Honesty is key. Inflation is up. Things are expensive and everyone needs some $$$ right now.”
