180 Bon Air Center, Greenbrae“I just love this store. I have taken my three boys in here every single time they get a haircut, since before they could talk. It certainly is hard to leave without a toy! I love the friendly staff, as they always know what to help with, and give us clean service.”
“What a gem! The teachers are so nice, supportive, engaging, and amazing energy to have around your little one. My daughter does not speak/understand English so I was unsure if it made sense for her. That said, it's still SO much fun and she definitely still enjoyed it. She's 17 months old and daycare was closed for the holidays so she was looking for indoor activities! While the times don't work for us to be regulars, we will definitely look to do drop-ins when daycare is closed.”

688 Bridgeway, Sausalito“This gift shop in downtown Sausalito is one of the better stores, featuring local souvenirs with "Sausalito" emblazoned on them, and also fun products from around world like Studio Ghibli stuff and Adventures with Tin Tin books and gifts! It's a BIG store -- take some time to check out all the nooks of this shop! Prices ranges here depending on what item -- but there's something for everyone here. Staff are not intrusive and generally will service you at the check-out counter.”

5800 Northgate Dr APT 62, San Rafael“Very nice and small arcade! With a selection of 2 Chunithm machines, 2 Mai Mai Murasaki machines, the old DDR, Dance Rush, Street Fighter, 2 Mario Kart machines, a hockey table, a basketball hoop game, the punching test machine, and a WACCA cabinet. As a huge CHUNITHM fan, I've been looking for a cabinet that is online so I can save data on my Nime card. All of their games are online so I can finally start my process on my international version! One play on the Chunithm machine is $1.50. A very good price for 3 songs. They clean and keep their machines well kept. The Mario kart wheel wasn't as loose and difficult to use in the character selection compared to other arcades and the Chunithm machine's slider was smooth AF.There's also a shop of collectibles and toys in the back for any kids. There's a lot of cute charms I saw and if you're into POP figurines, there's several there.I'll definitely come back here for my Chunithm itch. :)”
“Lots of puzzles to try out in their mini play area… handcrafted wooden puzzles and brain teasers for kids and adults ranging from ludo, snake and ladders, chess etc.. invokes a sense of nostalgia.. most of the puzzles have the difficulty level clearly taggedthe guy at the store is extremely passionate about his work.. and puts a lot of effort in keeping every customer engaged and intrigued about the puzzles on display..”
“This is a great shop for my style. I love second hand clothing as it’s better quality and more interesting in our fast fashion world. Owner is so nice & the overall feel of the store was enjoyable to me. They have a dressing room!!”
“Daisi was super helpful with installation of car seat. Informative, knowledgeable and flexible with her schedule, she also gave us her contact info in case we had questions in the future.”
“A fantastic toy store for kids of all ages! Average pricing. This shop is crammed with products, offering all sorts of toys, games, books, accessories, postcards and gifts. I especially love the selection of books about Sausalito and SF that were right at the front of the store.”
“Lots of wonderful clothing in all kids sizes. The store is well organized, clean and bright. Our stroller fit down the aisles so I could shop with my hands free. I'm the grandma and that was very helpful as my grandson was only 3 months old and can be wiggly when he is looking around.”

63 Wentworth Pl, San Francisco“Ying Hobbies & Toys it's the hidden gem you never knew you needed! My wife stumbled upon this treasure while on a quest for Gunpla goodness, and boy, am I glad she did. Tucked away in a cozy spot, Ying Hobbies & Toys might play hard to get at first, but once you lay eyes on its bounty of plastic wonders, you'll be hooked. The store might be small, but it's bursting at the seams with an array of model kits that'll make any Gundam fan's heart skip a beat. Seriously, choosing just one model feels like trying to pick a favorite child - impossible and bound to hurt someone's feelings. But fear not, the guy running the place is pretty helpful. With his guidance, navigating through the sea of model kits becomes a breeze! Oh and the pricing is super fair specially for all the cool stuff you can find. So, if you're a Gundam enthusiast or just someone who appreciates the art of model kits, do yourself a favor and pay Ying Hobbies & Toys a visit. Trust me, it'll quickly become your go-to spot for all things Gunpla. Happy building, fellow plastic yelp warriors!”
“This store is a magical wonderful with great gifts. It has something for everyone. I love the great selections of toys, gifts and antiques. Susan has curated a great collection.”

Pier 15 Embarcadero at, Green St, San Francisco“The exploratorium store was a cool spot with a huge range of gifts to get. It is the gift shop to the Exploratorium. I liked the black sand exhibit at the Exploratorium and asked the sales associate there for some. She was very happy and eager to lead the way to the black sand. They also have a bunch of other cool tacky stuff to buy from a test tube glass tea diffuser to crystal rocks.A jar of black sand was $9.72 which I thought was a fair price to pay.”

39 The Embarcadero Suite 146, San Francisco“Nice big shop right on the pier. Friendly staff and a large selection. I love that you can get little souvenir tee shirts and clothes for your bear, but my kids aren’t really the souvenir type so we got Pokémon, lame!”
“I rarely write reviews anymore, but Sprout Mill Valley definitely deserves one! I've shopped here for many years and have had continually excellent customer service from all the employees over time, but lately especially from Molly who is one of the managers in the Mill Valley store and is exceedingly kind, knowledgable, and patient. She knows every in and out of every piece of gear and can guide you to what you need/want without the confusion of drowning in online research. They have a wonderfully curated collection of books and small toys which are very inclusive and diverse and are often things you wouldn't find elsewhere. My favorite are letter block sets but not just in English, they carry Arabic, Hebrew, Spanish, German etc. and as a multi-ethnic-lingual family this is so appreciated. Sprout is my go-to place to find gifts for pregnancy/babies/toddlers (alas they don't carry things for older kids, but for that I go to Tantrum down the street) and it's always a pleasure to shop locally especially when the people are so amazingly lovely!”
“Incredible selection of toys. Exceptional service. Merilyn went above and beyond to help us. Sales associates like her are the reason we go to real stores instead of shopping online.”
“Best educational toy store I've encountered in the SF Bay Area. From Five Little Monkeys in Burlingame to various Barnes & Nobles' toy sections, I find most stores have the same products I already know of from Amazon. This store had Melissa & Doug educational learning mats, Bruder Caterpillar branded construction vehicles, die cast cars - and gift wrapping for everything.Additionally, the store was an experience for kids - Haba train sets, Calico Critters homes, this was better than Disneyland for many toddler aged kids.I should've taken more pics of this place - mine don't do it justice for the expansive, modern, clean layout.”

61 Broadway, Fairfax“I have childhood memories of going into that store with a childhood friend, Sandra. The very small, rubber toys were my favorite. I am glad to see it is still there, 50 years later.”
“I stopped by today to look for a spring/Easter dress for my 4 year old. They have such a fantastic selection of beautiful dresses, designers you won't find anywhere else. The also have kids dress shoes, hair bows and accessories. There were so many I liked, that I decided to wait and bring my daughter back and let her choose.”
