“I stopped in here the other day and am so glad I did! I was looking for a few fleeces and a long-sleeve tech top and found 3 great items for less than cost of 1 item at REI. I was SO glad I stopped by. Great women and men's clothes - I highly recommend!”

“Love this store. I shop and consign here. They do a wonderful job of curating both dressy and casual here, plus fun accessories. Rarely do I walk out empty-handed. Can't wait for the August sale! And they always have great music on while you shop too.”

“Very professional and knowledge. I purchased a beautiful antique oak dining room table w/inserts, and 6 chairs at a very reasonable price, on a Sunday afternoon. They had it delivered at price so low that I tipped the delivery guys $80, which almost equalled the original delivery fee. We are up a path with many steps on a steep Marin hillside, but the two guys from Lugg didn't bat an eye, and I had my table in my home before dark.”

“My new favorite place! I got some amazing quality clothes (including the jacket in brand new condition: pictured) and Vince Camuto boots (pictured) for a fantastic price! Some things there are vintage and some modern style. I also found a 1960’s vintage Disney Pluto plush that is the cutest toy I have ever seen. The store has a good amount of things without being annoying to look through or push all the hangers over to get one sweater out :)”

“Very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable proprietor. Bought a few family heirlooms and referred me with some great advice to where to take the rest that would not sell for very much at her shop. Would highly recommend!”

“What can I say? Emma’s shop (both of them) are mindfully curated so it’s really hard to walk out empty handed. It’s my go-to spot for gifts and I love all the superfood powders and natural skincare she has there. Definitely worth the trip to Fairfax!”

“Liz, Shimmer owner, is an engaging and delightful host, and her staff is always friendly. The product selection is robust and is updated regularly. I've found wonderful items here and enjoy shopping at Shimmer often. Good prices, good value, good selection, great service!”

“I've shopped here a few times. Owner has great taste, a bit eclectic mixed with classic leather bags and shoes. The items are pristine...everything is steamed and looks perfect, which I appreciate as consignment. You feel as if you're buying new yet know you're helping the environment. The great thing about consignment that I love is you won't be buying something everyone else has off the rack...it feels one of a kind. Prices are fair for brands she carries... I recommend this shop. Ps she has evening wear.”

“Chris' store was the first result when I looked up "Consignment Store." They did not disappoint! Super kind and attentive Customer Service. The Fashion Consultants were quick to help me find a bag and jewelry. The variety of clothing and designers is unmatched thus far!”

“I love this little shop. Hollis, the owner has such great taste and keeps up with the current styles (not to mention the seasons!). I can always duck in and come out with an amazing piece. Last year I got one of my favorite dresses, an Etoile Isabel Marant, which I have worn so much. Another time I stopped in to drop off some clothes to consign and came out with a cozy cashmere hoodie and a pair of new (or almost new) Lululemon shorts. You can always find top designers, as well as clothes and accessories that are the latest or even cool and vintage. Hollis really curates a nice collection of items. If you are interested in consigning, you can ask her in advance about which types of items she is currently looking for (winter, fall, jeans, etc.). Willow Grove is such a fun place to wander into. You are also supporting a small, local, woman-owned business.”

“Really nice place! I got basically a new luxury bag for a great deal. I normally don’t buy designer bags, but the lady working there told me about the company and convinced me to get it and I’m so happy! Also bought a super cute romper. Great place with very nice staff. Will definitely be coming back!”

“Without a doubt, one of my favorite stores in the area, and honestly the main reason I drive into the city. It strikes the perfect balance between cherishing the past and embracing the present. They offer genuine vintage items of exceptional quality, such as elegant crystal glasses and a showcase brimming with delightful jewelry. Personally, I adore their metal tins filled with pralines, which I now have in various colors at home, repurposing the tins for hairclips, bathroom supplies, and more. They offer a diverse selection without feeling overcrowded. The clothing collection always reminds me of a blend between the series "Charmed" and "Gilmore Girls" from the 90s. Additionally, they showcase art that evokes memories of summer days and Gatsby parties. However, the true allure of the store lies in the delightful ladies who manage it; they pour their hearts and minds into curating and presenting the merchandise. Engaging conversations are always on offer. A visit to this store is truly nourishing for the soul.”

“Hands down, THE best place to buy a gift in Nob/Russian Hill. Every single item is thoughtfully curated by Teresa. Can't go wrong, even if you try really hard.”

“We stopped into this cute consignment store after a Menke Park stop. Everything in the shop showed a tasteful eye and the service was very friendly, but the prices were just slightly too high for what the items were. I'm not sure if this was due to COVID, or if the area just leans toward the higher end. I love supporting small shops, so if you prefer buying used and have more of a focus of design and staging this is probably your place.”

“This place is a gem! Everyone is so pleasant and knowledgeable. I will be coming back again and again. So excited to find a top notch consignment store. I would give it 10 stars if I could!”

“I love Relove! I’ve been shopping here since it’s inception and it’s where most of my clothes come from. The owner and staff are the best, and watching this store expand to the East Bay and thrive has been a joy. I both buy and sell with Relove and it’s always been a fair and affordable and fun experience. They are professional and serious but open and friendly. Best combo in my opinion. I love Relove and recommend it for basics and fancy designer one of a kind pieces.”

“This thrift store has night-club-meets-Halloween vibes! Lots of sequins! A great place for Eras Tour clothes. No dressing rooms though, but they let you try things on over your clothes.”

“This is a great place for slightly used clothing and home goods. Lots of choices nicely displayed. They also made it very easy to donate with parking lot in the back for easy drop off.”

“The employees are all super nice and helpful. There is a great selection and it changes a lot. I have only purchased so I can only speak to that, but I love coming here. They have both good deals on less expensive or vintage pieces but also good deals on high end/new stuff. I like the variety.”

“I found Murphys curiosty shop last month and have been back every Saturday since then! I almost didn't go in because some of the reviews made the place out to be a little shop of horrors.I'd like to set the record straight! The shop is interesting even before you enter, starting from the window. If you think Goodwill is cool and organized common sense will tell you, I am not in Goodwill. I am overwhelmed. If you walk in and it looks dirty or crowded, you should think this is not appropriate for young children.I believe this is a fantastic shop for finding unique merchandise. Things have changed, and not in a good way. It's very rare to find anything antique, vintage, one of a kind anymore. I feel lucky to have found such a collection. As for Ricky, I find him very kind and very dedicated to his store. I say his store because it's his vision. In short this is not a free for all. I respect the store and Ricky. If you like the thrill of the hunt and finding things that are disappearing rapidly, go and enjoy! Work with Ricky and you'll see he is reasonable and fair. He's available for apointments and his number is available. If you have something neat to trade it might work out that you can trade towards your purchase. This depends on quality of merchandise and how much merchandise is needed. I think those who had problems shopping herehave every right to share their experiance. On the other hand consider the 5 star reviews. You'll be hapy you did!”
