“Unsure about some of these 1 stars. Don't even sound like customers? I'm new to painting and the employee was helpful, listened to my questions and mentioned that the paint was going on sale in a few weeks. I went it when the sale was happening, got 5 gallons of paint at 35% off, dude mixed it in literally 3 minutes, and helped me load it. High quality paint. When I'm ready to paint my exterior walls I know where I'm going.”
“This place is awesome for seasonal buys. Basic hardware needs, home, outdoor, and garden decor.They have the famous switch mats with frames & inserts. The best selection of decorative flags on the island.”
“I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. We moved to downtown SD a year or so ago and spent a *good amount* of the first 6 months in this store!
The location is fantastic. It's 5 blocks'ish from our condo, so it's perfect for us!
The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have anything and everything you need, even stuff you don't know you need (like Twizzlers at the front counter). Paint? Yes. Tools? Yes. Ladder? Yes - and we even bought a 6ft ladder and walked it home (it was a bit of a Keystone Cops moment crossing a couple of streets, but yeah we walked it home).
If they don't have what you want in stock, they'll get it from another location for you.
It's clean and the aisles aren't cluttered. And I feel the need to mention the staff, again. They are ALWAYS there if you need them and really good about not only finding stuff but answering questions on whatever project we were working on.
We'll definitely be back (hell, we've been known to go 3 times in one day - because there's usually something we forget no matter how prepared we think we are).

“It was difficult to decide paint colors for the house interior. Bought the house in 2000 and wanted updated modern yet neutral colors to match floor coverings and furniture. After meeting multiple times at Dunn Edwards, I was introduced to AJ who is a color designer for Dunn Edwards. AJ interviewed me regarding my goals and color preferences then he visited on site. He selected colors that matched my existing floor coverings and furniture. After painting, the rooms look amazing, modern and vibrant! Very pleased with AJ's consultation. Great work! “We have used Dunn-Edwards paint for our past projects and they have been our go-to paint store. We recently went into the Kearny Mesa store select an exterior paint color to match our roof, existing trim, etc. (selecting a single color amongst a universe of colors is our kryptonite). We met with Freya Wilson who was sweet, professional, and most helpful. She helped us with a first round color candidates, which we we took home, and then we returned with to give here our feedback and we honed in on a color that works most excellently. So, two rounds and a color discovered, the process could not have gone more seamlessly. Thank you Freya.”

“Go here and no place else. Color matching paint in a spray can!! How great is that?!!. Tom is fantastic. My 68 Camaro was restored back in 1994. It had rally rims and I found a set of 14" rims in a junkyard to put back on. But the paint on the rims obviously didn't match my car. And the guy who painted my car somehow managed to not get the color correct and was a couple of shades gray lighter than blue. Teal Blue--1968. So i brought the car to Tom and after many trips back in the shop to add a drop of gold, red, or whatever color he needed to add; he got it done. He said he had never attempted to custom match on the spot, but I couldn't be happier. He nailed it. Thanks to Tom and Jeraulds for helping me.”

Run more sales, as sometimes the cost/benefit of using SuperPaint and ProClassic for trim gets pricey.”
“I stop here to pick up a small can of primer that I needed for a small project I was working on, but more importantly, I needed to recycle some very old paint.
The gent at the counter was very helpful and readily took the paint cans off my hands to be recycled and helped me find the small can of primer that I needed.
The store was well organized and well stocked. They offer a good size parking lot here.”
